Number 11 "The Wheelchair space is now required. Can passengers in this area please make room. Thank you". Something like "the wheelchair area of this bus is now required, would passengers please vacate this area". There is one woman driver at AL who plays it every time a buggy gets on.

Quite possibly the ONLY announcement on the iBus system the passengers seem to listen to

Not sure how long its been there but thanks to beaver and the tfl team for finally putting the piccadilly circus curtailment on ibus for the route 3 ;D Spotted this when I caught up with another route 3 bus last night and noticed the '3 to piccadilly' in the ibus display screen inside the bus.
I already noticed the lambeth palace curtailment, which is now called lambeth bridge. Imo, I think its for the best. I think the whitehall turn has been altered so ibus now says the bus terminates when I get to parliment square. I'm not 100% sure on that so I come back to that one.

I got a question to ask drivers on here. Do ibus announce stops when you run empty (Not in service) to the depot or en route a start of service?

Indeed - the only time I have had annoucements is when I was asked to run light because of late running and it was part of our normal routes - so it picked up a couple of stops.

Paul & Beaver14uk, Thanks to you both for your simple answers. The reason I ask is because I've seen a W9 running light and ibus screen displayed 'Potters Bar bus garage'. The W9 only run between Southgate and Chase Farm Hospital.

I believe it shows after the end of run and it comes up automatically after a set run has been completed - iBus then shows the buses home garage for example it'll show on both screens PUTNEY BUS GARAGE if it was a Putney stored bus.
Each iBus route has a set number of stops and it does know where the stops are - instead of the bus pootling down the street and then randomly finding a stop and shouting it's name; iBus instead knows where each stop is that it calls at and if for any reason it has lost where it is, loses GPS reception or strays from LOR, then it shows *. As iBus won't be logged to a route when running out of service then it won't call announcements. Exactly the same as when drivers don't log in and it displays double yellow dots.

I have been on several 401's which upon leaving the 1st stop ( BX Shopping Centre) still show 'BEXLEYHEATH BUS GARAGE' until the second stop is reached or recognised by ibus.

You should get on the 20:48 one, when you pull up at the shopping centre towards Thamesmead it announces this bus terminates here ;D I think it's something to with we are scheduled to run dead back to BX but 99.9% of us sit at the shopping centre.
