They are still in production I believe, although I think options for Chassis are now reduced. Can you still get Wright Gemini 3s on a Volvo chassis? No, Volvo don’t seem to be dealing with Wrightbus anymore I don’t think Volvo are still supplying hybrid chassis, just B5 diesel chassis now

Not a bus question but an underground one when did the vending machines get removed from platforms?

Sunday service as usually on a Bank Holiday Monday Sunday service daytime Normal Monday night service No idea why there is inconsistency and not a Sunday night service People working early on the Tuesday would need buses that might be more frequent that Sunday night times.

Not as far as I know, their only DD options appear to be the Streetdeck (with various fuel options) and one on a Scania chassis (there's an open-top one in Japan, with Hato Bus), which seems to be the successor to the Volvo Gemini 3, judging by the way they have branded it. There hasn't been a Volvo-Wright delivery since October 2020, for Irish operators, as well.

I had thought of that, but it doesn’t make any sense why there would be more early workers on a Tuesday than early workers on a normal (not bank holiday) Monday (as they only get the Sunday night service)

Most night buses run a Sunday to Thursday schedule so would normally be the same level of service. If different on Sunday would normally be the Sunday evening timings that are different. If I remember correctly on N220 there is an extra trip or rounder on Sunday evening schedule.

I am inclined to agree - while there are bound to be one or two exceptions, I'd have thought that the later end of a night bus timetable would be the same on a (normal) Monday morning as a Tuesday morning, so running a standard Sunday day / night schedule on a bank holiday Monday would be fine to lead in to the Tuesday day service.
And the 'late night' journeys on a bank holiday can probably cope with Sunday evening running times rather than weekday running times (and if I was a passenger who had been told it was Sunday service on a bank holiday, I would expect buses to run at Sunday times around and shortly after midnight - especially on a 24 hour route where it's not obvious to the passenger just what journeys are contractually the 'night' route.) When I was involved in such things in London, I can't remember occasions when my bit of the network ran a special schedule on a bank holiday evening / night for the sake of a few minutes' running time.
What can be more complicated from a scheduling / operational angle is the Sunday night to Bank Holiday morning, if (as often makes operational sense) some early morning 'day route' journeys are done at the end of a night bus working / night driver duty, or if some of the last 'night route' journeys are done at the start of the following day's bus workings / early duties. The normal schedules will be designed for a Saturday night service to lead in to a Sunday day service and so on, but doing a Sunday night service leading in to Sunday day service may need a bit of thought (likewise Good Friday, with a Saturday night service leading in to a Saturday day service.)

It's been mentioned many a time by people regarding tracking issues, but does anyone actually know what is causing it and when it will be fixed? prntscr.com/12f85mmIn this screenshot, for example, the buses I have highlighted in green are actually at the bus stand. Tracking always seems to resume once the buses are running, but some stops only appear one at a time.

There seems to be a software issue because Vehicle Finder has been missing stops on the ETA its been happening for a few weeks now.

Sunday service as usually on a Bank Holiday Monday Sunday service daytime Normal Monday night service No idea why there is inconsistency and not a Sunday night service Sunday night services on night routes tend to start earlier than the rest of the week, so as to compensate for the early finish from train/tube lines in the suburbs. Apparently on the TfL tube network, bank holiday operations do not directly translate into a mirror image of a Sunday operation (more of a Saturday operation in fact), so night buses do not need to start as early on a Monday night bank holiday as the last trains are not significantly earlier than normal.

Are there any short single deck electric buses operators can order for routes such as the 439/S2? I looked on Optare/ADL/Caetano and the shortest length seems to be 9.2m. Are there any shorter ones available? (eg 8.9m)
