Why does the P13 display 'Streatham' on the blind as opposed to 'Streatham station' like the other buses that terminate there do? I'm sure I've read somewhere (probably on the London Bus Route website) that just a destination without qualification like that implies it is the Railway / UG station as a destination like "Morden" or "Arnos Grove" or "Archway" etc, etc ............... there are almost certainly exceptions to this though.

Some do have the word 'station' added on like Turnpike Lane station

Apologies if I have missed something, but how do you register for LVF? On the LVF page, I can see a 'Login' button, but nothing about registering. I tried the link on the LVF thread, but it doesn't work.

Does anything normally happen for the Chelsea flower show (21/09 - 26/09) this year ....... do GAL give the commercial fleet a run-out or etc etc ?
If so any recommended vantage points ?

I was wondering. What does LT stand for? London Transport So what would ST in ST1812 stand for.

Why did hybrid SD's not take off? Because they weren't fitted with wings.
More seriously, I think the extra weight of the hybrid setup tended to outweigh any fuel savings. Lightweight diesel SDs (such as Enviro200s) are already very fuel-efficient. I think it was found that some of the prototype hybrid SDs (possibly the Tempos?) actually used more fuel than a diesel E200.
For DDs it was a different matter; diesel DDs are already heavyweight buses, so the extra weight of batteries etc does not make a huge difference overall.

When were bus drivers allowed free travel around the TfL network?

When were bus drivers allowed free travel around the TfL network? It was allowed during the days when buses and the Underground were all under London Transport, therefore from as far back as 1933 i would surmise. Was certainly allowed in the 70s as one of my parent's friend was still on the old LT contract in 2001 which had staff travel entitlement. Entitlement was extended to other services such as the DLR and Croydon trams when they came into operation in 1987 and 2000 respectively.
