Looks like there is a big fire in a block of flats in Whitechapel High Street near Aldgate East this evening (Monday 7th March). Bus services in the Aldgate, Whitechapel, Shoreditch and Bethnal Green areas are likely to be seriously disrupted. I did post this in the turns and obs thread. 115 and 135 curtailed to Stepney.
TfL site shows the below when entering route 15
Closed between Commercial Street and Old Castle Street due to an Emergency Services incident. Route 42 is ending its journeys at Tower Gateway stops between Mansell St / Minories. and Appold St / Primrose St are not being served. Route 242 is ending its journey at Calvert Avenue and will not serve stops between Shoreditch High St. and Aldgate station. Routes 115 and 135 are ending their journey at Arbour Square (Stepney) and are not serving stops between Exmouth Estate / St Marys & St Michaels Church and Aldgate station...More to follow.

Interestingly enough I'm on a 205 now and I don't think I've made it to Whitechapel faster before!

Not a journey I do often (or, truth be told, have ever done ๐), but tomorrow evening I need to go from Kingston to Northolt Station. My route knowledge peters out north of Hounslow/Brentford, so for those who know that area better, which route is quicker? a. 285/X26 then 90 b. 111 then 120 c. 65 then a couple of Central lines d. 65 then E10
Thanks ๐

At Harlington Corner you would need to cross Bath Road and proceed to stop N in High Street Harlington for the X140.

Thanks both of you : I had a feeling that via Teddington/Harlington was the way to go, nice to have it confirmed. I think Iโll see what time I get to Kingston, and if an X26 is imminent/close Iโll do X26/90, and if not, or I just miss an X26, then 285/X140.

Are the green bus shelters coming to an end? Broomfield Park (towards Southgate) and Cecil Avenue (towards Enfield) have now been painted black

Was an easy journey. Thanks again guys.

Were First's WNHs the same as Arriva's HWs? Or were they powered by different Hybrid systems? They were the same
