Riding a Scania SD on the route 100 from Redhill, the buses are very old so I wondered if they will be replaced anytime soon? Probably. I think iv heard the 420 is getting hybrodren DDs to replace the B9s on it at the moment next year. So I wouldn't be surprised if the 420/460 and 100 all new fleets with hydrogen SDs for the 100 to match the Fastway services in Crawley.

The Omnicity's on the 100 are rather unique in that they are the only 10.8m examples built (the normal length is 12m). That batch are rather nice vehicles having rode them several times over the years.

Thanks for that ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Thanks. Interestingly that link works on iOS but not on Safari. The issue with phone browsing is the size of the text (which can be embiggened but then I need to scroll constantly) so this has become another site allergic to Mac's systems.

Is there a limit on how many e-tiles is allowed on a bus stop? I would doubt it. However at busy stops you often see two routes on one tile

Is there a limit on how many e-tiles is allowed on a bus stop? I would doubt it. However at busy stops you often see two routes on one tile IIRC four routes is the most that can be got onto a tile. There were a few three-route e-plates some of which also named a non-LT operator and I believe there was a four-route one somewhere. One e-plate in my collection is for 72, 72A, 73 Southdown on four lines. How many plates did it take to deal with the Watford routes and school buses? 319, 319A, 319B and 319C all shared stops; there was a 319D but it didn't share stops with all the rest, only a couple of them. 346 and 346A were opposite-direction loops so might only appear on one plate at Carpenders Park station where they met but there were also 346B, C and D variants. In Stevenage the 800-group had many variations on the basic 800 / 801 with A, B and C variants often sharing the same stops.

Just thinking, is there likely to be another consultation for more Central London Bus Cuts like back in 2019?
I would not be shocked if more routes are removed from Oxford Street!

I certainly hope not - the stupid era of cuts needs to end and we need to start growing the whole network and not just the odd bit in Outer London here and there.

Tbf, your better off walking if able to in Central London or using rail services. The place is now like a carpark. The Lizzie line has certainly changed travel habits. However, I would personally like to see better bus services connecting public to the train stations in Inner London. For example, the proposed new route from Stamford Hill - Golders Green will be a useful game changer imo.

Apologies if the question's been answered before, but a search didn't come up with anything -
Who's responsible for the bus shelters in London? (Lewisham borough if that makes a difference) Is it TFL or London Boroughs or is it a shared responsibility, with some being TFL's and some the boroughs'?
And if it is shared, is it better to contact TFL about something and let them pass it on to the borough if it's not theirs, or vice versa?

If it's an issue like a broken shelter you can report it through TfL's Streetcare tool. Ive done this before when the glass was shattered at a bus shelter and it got fixed within a couple days.

I believe the majority of shelters are TfL owned however, there are some in certain boroughs that seemed to be supplied by the borough themselves though I don't think Lewisham is one of these boroughs. Croydon is supposed to receiving it's own smart shelters though I don't know if it's still happening nor do I know if TfL are part of that roll out if it does happen.

Thanks - I'll suggest contact via TFL. Presume if it's not one of theirs, they will eventually say so. (forgot to say in original post, it's for a relative who's still in the Lewisham patch.)

Can Oyster readers get corrupted? There’s this man on TikTok who used to work GAL as driver and he’s says he got fired because he kept mentioning in his TikToks that the Oyster machine can get corrupted and TfL didn’t like him mentioning it so GAL had to let him go.
