Where the original AEC Routemasters and Leyland Titans built in Park Royal? Yes, they were built in a premises on Abbey Road in Park Royal - in regards to the Titans, only the first 263 for LT had Park Royal bodies with the remainder of the 1125 LT order bodied by Leyland

Ones that I remember: Many of the E routes: E1,E3,E7,E9 Also: 28,31,79 Infamously: 7,92,105 Not the 79 - that was run by MTL using MANs that had Capital-style bodywork in allover red. They looked very similar to the Marshall Darts but were actually step-entrance buses. The 105's Marshall Darts (shared with the 490) weren't red, they had the yellow London Buslines livery.
When new none of First's Marshall Darts were truly allover red. The earlier deliveries were almost all red but with a yellow band under the window line. From late 1999 they were delivered with a nicer livery with white & yellow swirly lines.
Of course the ones that survived long enough in London were eventually repainted allover red to suit TfL's new rules. I guess these would have worked routes like 95, 193, 223, 224, 236, 299, 308, 309, 389/399, D6, D8, W6, W10. But if we want to include all the routes that have had red-with-a-bit-of-yellow First Marshall Darts the list will be a lot longer!

Also some survivors were on the W4 and 193 as GAL DMN's

Just a thought - did he mean 70, not 79?

Can travel on National Rail using contactless? Do all National rail station have Contactless readers? All National Rail Stations in London will accept contactless if travelling within London Zones, or in some cases just outside. As a general rule anything that's on the Rail and Tube services map should accept contactless unless otherwise stated. Some readers will have slightly different logos on them however they should still behave the same.

Because you need a simple basic fares system, and it can't distinguish 1st class and advance ticket prices etc Probably 10,000+ different fares available from over 2000 stations to each of the others, and many will be over the £30 contactless limit

Just a thought - did he mean 70, not 79? Maybe. The 70 was never allocated Marshall Darts - it retained its Wright-bodied step-entrance Darts until lost to Thorpes - but it did often see stray Marshalls from the 28/31/328.
