So it turns out there was no rail replacement on the DLR today * between Stratford International and Woolwich Arsenal! The Stratford to Canning Town bit is not usually covered as the Jubilee Line covers to Stratford. What was different this time is there was also no "Extras" on the 474 and passengers for Woolwich Arsenal were advised to use the Jubilee Line to North Greenwich and bus 472. * Apart from a limited City Airport to Canning Town Shuttle until 1pm when the airport closed. I never saw a single passenger use the buses so a total waste. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come with the budget cuts? Social media comments suggest passengers were not impressed!
Edit : Just seen the below on the Londoner Group. What a saga and mess! I did see a double decker CT Plus Double Decker at Canning Town but never thought much of it.
The Woolwich Arsenal – Stratford International DLR line is closed this weekend. There’s no mention of any rail replacement on the travel apps I use but CT Plus (are they still known as that or just HCT Group?) are providing a non-stop service between North Greenwich bus station and Woolwich. As you can see, the bus carries little info as to what it’s doing, though the Enviro200s were busy while the Enviro400s were noted empty each time. I enjoyed having this particular bus to myself earlier in the day for free to Woolwich in half the time of the normal 161 route.

If you get a rail replacement bus without a pre-booked ticket and you zap your Oyster, do you get charged bus or tube fares?

Oh I see, I've never been on a rail replacement. Can you pay on-board or do you have to pre book (I mean Tube/DLR/Overground replacement, not TOCs)?

The SWR bus plan has finally changed to provide more than the previous 4bph between Wimbledon and Surbiton.
There are now three fast buses per hour - two on Wokings and one on Effingham Junction via Hinchley Wood. And two are semi-fast Hampton Courts, all stops to New Malden then Surbiton and two which detour via Kingston before terminating at Surbiton.
It’s a great service plan, although the situation at New Malden with Clapham Junction bound buses leaving from both sides of the road does cause a bit of a mad dash.

Yep though Surbiton to Wimbledon and Wimbledon to Surbiton still seem to be problematic. Large flows mean that virtually every bus at busy times is full and the controller has to stop people from boarding. But at Wimbledon, if something like a minibus turns up on Woking, half the bus will be full of Surbiton passengers with several Woking passengers having to wait a further 30 minutes. Spoke to a passenger that waited at West Byfleet to get into London last weekend. 2 buses no showed (apparently stuck in traffic) and the next was a minibus, Gent suggested running the Woking/Weybridge%Hampton Court/Effingham Junction services from Surbiton, so they are not stuck in traffic between Wimbledon and Surbiton, with increased fast and stopping buses between Surbiton and Wimbledon
