So: Is the 240 allocated VW1175-85, 606 allocated 10 reg and 107 allocated 10 reg? What will happen to TE1093 once the 107/240 is converted? Go to PB? Not expected to transfer out. Will remain at EW as a cover float vehicle

Two unusual visitors to PB are VPL 630 and TPL 284. From parking position, I don't think they'll be moving out tonight. In fact, they are being used as meal relief buses at the moment.

Although it is conspicuous that refurbishments to route 282 TEHs have evidently not commenced, there seem to have been few refurbs generally due to Coronavirus and resulting closure of refurb premises.

So out of all the garages that Metroline have why was the hydrogen charging facility installed at PV and not PA or G or waited until the Alperton garage was opened?

So out of all the garages that Metroline have why was the hydrogen charging facility installed at PV and not PA or G or waited until the Alperton garage was opened? Considering hydrogen refuelling takes up a lot of space, it would not work with Alperton as the area there is quite small. Greenford I believe is part of a council site and therefore at may not be owned so building a hydrogen facility would be quite tedious. PA is on an industrial estate which may limit the powers to build a hydrogen facility. It then leaves me to PV which could be owned and is a quite a big site so maybe suitable. Like with LI, hydrogen facilities are big, especially if there are going to be 20 vehicles. With G & PA, space isn't available

Without sounding like I'm living in the dark ages I do still struggle to see how TFL can simply make a total commitment to zero emission buses. The fact that as said the hydrogen will have to be delivered from up north and tank space is used versus the fact that electrics cant just recharged up in mins and we still have no idea the range on them when the batteries are a few years old. Particularly on suburban routes that can have not massive journey times but do have high mileage like the 93, 154 etc. I know there were problems on some long Sunday workings on the 229 with the WVL tanks not holding enough.
The 94 is successful as its garage is on the route and the less then an hour journey time is largely spent sat stationary at traffic lights or in traffic yet is only about 6 miles long. Contract that with say 10 to 12 miles of fast driving and I think the range will soon deplete.

I can't exactly talk from TfL's point of view about hydrogen vehicles, it's been mentioned but it seems like electric is more of the focus point. Many garages across London are limited in space and even EV charging is difficult, such as Harrow (SO) and even Uxbridge (UX), space is a premium and addition of hydrogen facilities won't make it easier. What is best is for massive garages built from the ground, similar to something like WH or GW but then that's for a few years to come for most garages so all i can say is wait and see
