The 83 will move to the new Alperton base on 17th September. The 90 will transfer in to take its place at PV. Hopefully AH can now win the H98 to fill up the space. No hopefully not - I hope it would be acceptable for you for AV to stay open.

From my understanding the reason the 90 is moving is to make space for the H91 as Brentford has moved across from its original site…. 83, 297 to Athlon Road. 90 to PV to make space for H91 at AH. Would love to see 112 & H17 to PV but believe H17 is going to WJ? Please correct me as I heard it was an internal notice that it would be WJ. Looks to be the 32 moving to W, won’t be surprised if the 316 moves to WJ. As previously done with 316 to AC. And of course, the 533 leaving AH next month gives 6 buses more space.

A) 90 is going to PV as it is not full (83 is moving to new ON), not for space reasons at AH (90 at AH was kind of awkward and seemed temporary anyway) B) What is your source for the info that AH has moved? C) H17 is going to WJ, as you have said

So I believe the source is myself on this occasion.

Because I worked at AH last Sunday and pretty sure 100% that the garage has moved across the road from its original site. So I believe the source is myself on this occasion. Spoken to an engineer who works there and it 100% did move, the new site is meant to be smaller too, I'm not sure how much by. Well yes, lmao. I do work across ML sites. I just don’t think it was really mentioned on here that it had a slight move. The site is smaller than the original.

Hopefully AH can now win the H98 to fill up the space. Won’t that cause AV to close. Maybe. But they could always gain new routes that come up for tender again like E2,E8,237,120,222. Or they could move 116 & 423 back to AV to make up for the loss if they really had to.

I’m not really clued up with what they’re trying to do.

As this is a rumour don’t hold onto dear life about it I recall there were plans to close AH and have a replacement around Gunnersbury area which in the end didn’t happen. Soon afterwards, there was some plans submitted to have AH redeveloped instead.

If this is true, it seems likely the 142 and 297 will get BDEs too. And possibly E200EVs for the SD routes, unless the 384 gets Optares? I think they’ll get Enviro200EVs instead of Optares. They don’t seem so reliable. ADL does seem more likely, though PB does already have Optare chargers, and the PB1 metrocity.

Just seen photos of TEH2085 refurbished. Wonder why Metroline chose to refurb this in all red compared to the other TEH MMCs which have retained the black bits.

Your last point about RP isn’t accurate , given RATP have X / V and S close by to decanter routes in if they need to. While that is true for the 18/220/224/228/266/440, the 223/258 would be too far from the garages you suggest, and currently the Sovereign garages are all at full capacity, even more so now with some buses parked overnight at the golf course. The only way that could work if RP were to close, is if the 698/X140 move to HH, then 258 to SO and 223 to CP. Maybe routes 223 & 258 would move to SO, route 183 to BT and route 13 back to X (as it is due to return to BT in January) ?
