What will be the final Diesel route/s at PB & W once the pending routes convert to Hybrid/Electric? If I am not mistaken, at PB it would be the 231 & 491? At W, is it the 112? Just realised that the 234 runs from HT which has a Contract running until 2026? I guess routes such as the 210, 263, 143 & C11 etc will not be converted to EV any time soon? Although I can't give you dates, I did think of you this afternoon when I rode TE1315 on route 240. While I did a few diesel single decks too, diesel double decks are proportionately fewer these days.

So what routes at UX are DEL2156-2158 and DEL2247, DEL2256-2258 allocated to? So is DEL2247, 2256-2258 for the A10 and DEL2156-2158 will be for the H13? Without knowing official allocations for route H13, both buses I saw on that route this morning were DEs. Mind you, I realise you might be referring to the buses due for its new tender term.

Metroline has been awarded contracts to operate four franchises in Greater Manchester by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). This will commence from January 2025. MetrolineGA1511 bet you'll be happy to see your favourite operator up near you soon! I am certainly am! Route 42a is my joint nearest route, along with route 197. Strictly speaking, route 42a is Hyde Road (moving to Metroline) on Mon-Sat but Stockport on Sundays. Ironically, route 197 moved from Hyde Road to Stockport in 2016. I also use route 42 at times too, about 10 minutes walk away. I saw the news this morning and wondered whether it was an April Fool, but then I saw the date March 28th. It even tipped the balance in favour of letting my first bus today be Metroline instead of RATP (my original itin had route R12 doing the honours ). It is all the more remarkable when we consider that all the other Manchester franchises have gone to existing operators in the area, albeit in several cases not the same garages to operators.

Thanks and yes your right the Diesel DDs are reducing rapidly but thankfully we will have the SDs in a larger quantity for some time. From 2018, TFL stopped procuring Diesel DDs hence why there is not many for a new full contract.

You have routes 268, 631, H2 and H3 which uses diesels at W which up for tender in 2025.

From 6th April, but mostly concerning Monday to Friday, certain bus workings on the 384 will require to be parked up at EW for "opportunity" charging, during the day.

Literally cannot wait to test out the N28 but the cynic in me says it will use Hybrids as the N31 but time will tell.

VW1036 & VW1039 are at WJ for the 28, presumably just for type training as these are quite old VW1036-1040 have all been out of use as well
