Very interesting odd choices and completely backwards. WDEs (4) for the garage that already has and will have BDEs (43/W7) Kites/WSELs (153) at the garage that already has BELs (46) BDEs (90) for the garage that will have WDEs (83/297) BDEs (98) at the garage with Wrightbus/Volvos Like honestly who thought this up 😂 Unless there’s length restrictions affecting the 4/E2/E8, I can honestly see some retrospective switcharoos happening to make things a little more standardised, well as much a possibile anyway Which route will get the fleetcode 3031? Too early to know.

Which route will get the fleetcode 3031? Too early to know. Well, I think this is the order that the new buses will arrive in - BDE3031-48 to the 90 first
- BDE3049-71 to the 98 second
- WDE3072-90 to the 4 third
- WDE3091-107 to the E2 fourth
- WDE3108-124 to the E8 fifth
- WSEL3125-34 to the 153 last

As mentioned by a reliable source on Facebook, the C11 is due to transfer to Holloway.

As mentioned by a reliable source on Facebook, the C11 is due to transfer to Holloway. That's probably what inspired the choice of Kites for the 46 aswell now. Following on from the 210 if the 266 goes into W then more BDEs aswell. U3 and U4 could be anything really same with the U1 and U2. Could be all Wrights and Kites as nothing electric at UX yet.

Assume you mean 153 as 46 already has its own BEL allocation.

Surprised the C11 is moving - I would have thought the 143 or 210 would be more likely to go to HT, considering the C11 goes through Cricklewood (the station only being a short walk from the bus garage). Maybe the C11 has fewer duties starting/ending at Brent Cross compared to the 143/210? While there is an advantage in terms of parts/maintenance of having Kites on both the 153/C11, the two routes will have different lengths so not necessarily a common fleet. The C11 could do with the extra capacity, so there must be something preventing 10.8m from being allocated.

Wouldn't it make more sense to move the 210 instead so that in can interchange its fleet with the W7 and even 43? Makes more sense to keep the 10.2 kites together. Could this be to make room for the incoming 266/N266, or is there space already at W?

Besides the loner the vehicle; the more money it costs and that’s a mitigating factor when it comes to bidding; vehicles nowadays are lighter and can carry more passengers so no real need for longer buses unless absolutely necessary.

I imagine that's precisely it, I don't see why they would move the route unless it's required to move to make space for the 266/N266. If it was more convenient to operate from Holloway, it would have likely moved much sooner as Holloway has had space for quite some time.

Lost track of the new incoming buses, correct me if I am wrong but majority of routes at WJ are due EVs with the 228s being late the longest?

My bet is that the 266 will start off with a Hybrid allocation until Cricklewood garage is ready to accommodate EVs.
