What's the deal with most (if not ALL) Metroline routes not tracking for the past few days?

Or you move 483 to G, 186 to PV and 258 to HD. Even by Metroline standards, that would be a long dead run for route 186.

It would probably occur the same day as the next route 30 tender starts, irrespective of whether still with Metroline.

With the win of route 258 to run from HD, this could lead to route 292 reallocated to PB (although this might not release enough space), or route 140 to G with potentially route 95 moving to PV. 140 to G? Do me a favour... PV is full, there's no need for the 95 to move anyways... G is near Northolt, which is fairly central to route 140. So, while HD is its best garage, G would be suitable as a means of releasing space for route 258.

They did have a couple of the VW18xx as temporary cover about a couple of years ago. I wonder if it’s heading for a new life outside of London as that whole batch has been withdrawn from service for at least 6 months

So, while HD is its best garage, G would be suitable as a means of releasing space for route 258. I expect any of the other HD routes would be more likely to move out than the 140, as there are garages closer to the respective lines of route, and with easier changeover arrangements - while G might rely on using the 282 to Northolt or ferry cars. As other garages are starting to fill up, I think Metroline should consider reopening HZ to TFL services. Would be ideal to run routes like the 140, and if electrified then the 90 etc as well. Perhaps as a swap with the coach operations returning to SG? It was mentioned that there were some resident complaints over having buses regularly going in and out of the garage at SG, while HZ is on an industrial estate, and also a larger site. The 81 and 120 could run from HZ if needed, with the 635 into AH.

How big is/was HZ and where is it now? I thought it was closer to where the 207 terminates.

Considering the routes that were based there before, I would guess it could fit a total PVR of around 70 (though maybe less if electrified) - but it may not have been full when the 207/427/U4/U5 were there. Not a huge garage, but much bigger than SG. And adding to my previous post, a reopened HZ could replace the Uxbridge outstation too. HZ is at the other side of Hayes from the 207 terminus, quite close to DH. So well placed to run routes around Hayes, Hillingdon, Heathrow etc.

That would be good enough to house either the 182 or 186 (seeing as they're both routes that terminate in Harrow and run to Brent Cross).
