Or you move 483 to G, 186 to PV and 258 to HD. Even by Metroline standards, that would be a long dead run for route 186. I don’t think it would be.

140 to G? Do me a favour... PV is full, there's no need for the 95 to move anyways... G is near Northolt, which is fairly central to route 140. So, while HD is its best garage, G would be suitable as a means of releasing space for route 258. No it wouldn't be suitable, just because is near the 140s line of route doesn't make it suitable. Are you considering meal break facilities for drivers? Transferring a route to another garage isn't always just always about the route being near, there's a lot more that goes into garage transfers than you think... I said it once and I'll say it again, the 140 is not suitable to operate from G as there is no meal break facilities nearby for drivers nor is there any suitable changeover points mid point of the route and please don't say "Drivers can changeover at Northolt and get the 282 to/from Greenford". If any route is to move out of HD to make room for the 258, the 292 is the most likely.

As a few others have mentioned, if the 292 was the move out it wouldn't be sufficient enough to house the 258 as the 258 has a higher pvr than the 292 so ultimately would result in something else moving out too. Whilst I agree, as a garage terminator the 140 shouldn't move, it necessarily doesn't mean it wont. Seeing as the other routes don't really have anywhere else to go (do correct me if I'm wrong), the 140 out of G isn't entirely irrational. When G had the 482, I'm assuming drivers had to travel on the E5 from the garage to Southall and so if needs be, the changeovers could be at Hayes, ASDA instead. With the 350 extension most likely going ahead, the 140 could move to the stop there with the 495 terminating at the 140's current stop. Or more simply, 92 and the Central Line/a direct 282 to Northolt would work too. Like I said, if you have any other shuffling ideas, feel free to contest my "140 to G" idea.

What are you talking other routes can’t be moved out why does something as big the 140 has to be moved out just so that the 258 can fit in. Why can’t 186 which has the pvr of 17 me moved to W to fit in the 258. You don’t have to move the 140 which has the pvr of 21 just to fit in the 258 that has a pvr of 12 you can move something that’s much smaller just to fit it in. The 350 is moving so that 495 can go to Asda.

The reason I say 140 to G is because G has got a ton of space compared to other garage. It used to operated almost all the E-line AND routes like 207 and 195. Since then they've lost all their E-line routes and only gained back E1 and E9 recently which don't have quite a huge PVR.

It's funny as most garages in that particular area of North-West London are all almost full. I would've liked to see H12 back at HD but with the 258 now moving in, its definitely going to be hard for ML to take it back. I wonder why WJ wasn't considered an operable garage for the 258. Overground goes all the way to Watford Jn and if quick changeovers are needed, Harrow and Wealdstone isn't a bad place.

They were once housing 18 and 295 at the same time and since losing those, they've only made relatively small gains. 18's of 48 + 295's PVR of 22 = 70 Since then, 316, 487 and 28 have moved in 316's PVR of 18 + 487's PVR of 11 + 28's PVR of 19 = 48 Not going to count 187 or 228 as both routes were present when the 18 and 295 were as well 70 - 48 = 22. Could easily fit in the 258 or (maybe) even the 182 with its PVR of 25

Don’t forget that the 18 and 295 also had night routes that helped create the extra space. The night services helped create the extra space.

Again, you keep going on about how drivers can get from A to B but you haven't even considered where drivers would have their meal breaks.
