I have read elsewhere that the first few Aventra for SWR are now being assembled at Derby. Initial ones will be 5 car.
Sounds like one of the productions lines from either 345 or 710 production has been converted. A second production line is expected in the summer when class 710 production finishes.
As no 710s have yet entered service must be sidings full of them somewhere

Update on the refurbished and retractioned 442s to be reintroduced next week.... Not ready, not happening, no new motors yet, refurb is now likely to be more costly than having bought new
likely to be about 10 of the 300 extra trains missing, and loads of others short formed

So far only two services are dropped (0628 Southampton Airport - Waterloo and 1848 Waterloo - Poole). In other news, one of the Reading services was a Class 455! I suspect people are being prepared for the 701s? >

It appears as of 22/05/2019 that all SWR managed stations have had the KeTech/Ditra Phil and Celia station announcements completely replaced by ATOS Anne and Rodger, which would mark an end of an era.

I love Phil Sayer's annoucements, its so sad to hear that they are no more but it was inevitable. For as long as I can remember, Phil Sayer has been the announcer at SWT stations and on trains but oviously during the latter years of SWT he was slowly being phased out. I'm not a fan of Celia though so I'm glad she's been relpaced too.
