True, not much coming up in the area in the next year or so though. They could possibly be planning to move some existing SI routes to DS. The 135 tender is up soon, I'd imagine this to be an existing bus retain however WH I believe is geographically closer which will help their costs and could make them a risk, should a competitor's electric bid be only slightly higher than GALs existing then the electric option may be chosen. I would imagine all tenders to specify electrics as a base now, so it may be in GALs best interests to provide a very good electric option alongside the existing to secure the route fir a further term. The 135 and 147 will indeed be a interesting tight contest between DS and WH plus any other operators who bid. The 276 is another route to watch! It would be nice to see a former WH return home just from a enthusiast point of view.

is WS65 allocated to the 456? Yes temporarily as a cover for WS80 which is currently off the road and WS65 has almost always been used on the 456 since it came to NP a month ago. Although they tend to let it out in the morning and then sub it after 10:30am which suggests they don't particularly want it out too long on the route.

Probably does NP 225 which finishes at 1023 at NMH then returns at 1650

Think the 276 could be a good shout, don't think GAL can bid on a cheap as chips "existing vehicles" tender (the Red Arrow EVs won't fit round the route) and the route passes WH

V108 & V624 cut From Saturday Any other school extras being cut? I suspect the V434 will be one of them as I hardly see anyone using it - certainly between Whyteleafe and Purley

Must be fairly unusual for the R5/R10 to have had at least 3 different buses on it in one day. First 185 from 6am to 8am, then 186 after 9am, now 176 from just after 11am

The 118 or Sutton tenders aswell Route 118 yes but for Sutton tenders I predict electrification. I think electrification for Sutton will depend on how well the overhead charging on the 132 goes. I don’t believe A will have the space for wall charging as it’s an awkward and rather tight layout. They could also utilise external overhead charging on the Bushey Road stands if needed.

The 118 or Sutton tenders aswell Route 118 yes but for Sutton tenders I predict electrification. With potentially part 88, 77 and 155 all having a compliant fleet and the 11 and 87 doing another term with LTs the WHVs from the 80/93/154 could nicely complete the 88 and convert the 118 to effectively not need to upgrade Stockwell for many years but paving the way for Sutton to be the first full size garage (RA is pretty small with 2 routes) to be 100% electric as the 213 comes up a few months after the Sutton tenders.

I don’t believe A will have the space for wall charging as it’s an awkward and rather tight layout. They could also utilise external overhead charging on the Bushey Road stands if needed. Perhaps A will need to reduce the total PVR if there are space issues following electrification. One option could be to move to 93 to AL in exchange for a lower PVR route such as the 164 or 280. Or move a night route to A such as the N44, but would need to be covered by electrics. Also note that the 213 is not up for tender with the rest of the routes, and though unlikely, Go Ahead may not retain all of the routes. The 163 and 164 are in the same tranche, so I wonder if either of these could convert to DDs for the next contract?
