Is there any issue with lots of buses off the road at RR? Allocations are very very random on the school routes today (More than usual). An LT on the 679, SEN 30 on the 608 and lots of E400s / WVL used on the other school routes. Probably because they have a surplus of vehicles?

An LT on the 679, SEN 30 on the 608 and lots of E400s / WVL used on the other school routes. Seems to be different today, allocations are pretty much spot on. I think further WVLs have been withdrawn as the 10-12 WVLs that were used on the 5 daily now not and only 3 WVLs are on the 5 today, the rest of the service made up by LTs/EHs, I imagine it won't be long now until the 5 is soul EHs and LTs. School routes from RR are using 61-reg Es and-61 reg WHVs. 147 using souly 61-reg E's 364/396/646 using their SE allocations. The 104/304 seem to be the only ones with a bit stranger allocations with a mix go E/EH/WHV. By the looks of things a handful of WVLs have now been withdrawn and the EHVs that were working the school routes have not been seen today, potentially gone for refurbishment/into storage?

The 104 and 304 is allocated a mixed E400 and Hybrids but usually a preference is for the majority of hybrids on the 304. I wonder if the older E400s on the school routes is just temporary as they are hybrid contracts? Personally would prefer hybrids used on day routes instead of sitting around the garage for most of the day.

Does anyone know if all the 147 batch of E400s have new blinds? I know some of the batch received updated blinds sometime back. I thought it was only the later ones but E171 is in the 304 today blinded and noticed others such as E164 have been used in the past.

From Wikipedia
The East London Transit formed part of a plan for a much larger Thames Gateway Transit service, which would use the Thames Gateway Bridge to connect to the Greenwich Waterfront Transit on the south side of the River Thames. However, construction of the bridge and the Greenwich busway was cancelled in 2008

There is a road bridge to nowhere that was part of the scheme spanning the western exit from the DLR depot at Beckton and Armada Way which runs parallel to the depot was originally a dual-carriageway as part of the northern approach to the crossing - the westbound carriageway is now buried under debris behind a fence but can still be made out on Google Earth.

That bridge always seemed in a strange location especially as the exit into a residential area meaning you would have to double back to head towards the A13 and A406.

It's been reported that E100 through E104 are destined for the Commercial fleet whilst E105 through E109 are due for pastures new.
