Directly GAL. Indirectly TfL via route contracts. Thanks. Does the individual route contract bids made by the operators include the new vehicle purchase costs? Yes, the bids will be all costs expected to be incurred, vehicles, maintenance, fuel, staff etc There is an inflation adjustment formula which updates the prices at intervals through the contract

Probably not the vehicles costs, but the depreciation expected on the vehicles over the contract duration or leasing costs, plus a margin for error/profit, cost of using capital/borrowings. Companies would expect to recover the cost of the vehicles over the vehicle life, which would be two contracts.

Do you mean the 8.9m ones SE 261-267 or the 10.8m versions SE 268–287

Depends on what happens, if they are withdrawn then they’ll definitely be used elsewhere. 276 & 376 probably the only candidates for now I would say if retained.

The 366 is up for tender, DS just around the corner and RR down the road. Probably not as well placed as BK is but could very easily be a winning tender as Stagecoach will need new.

Can DS take diesel buses? but as you say RR is not far away or the 135 gap at SI could also be filled.
Seeing lots of talk last couple of days about the east London routes makes me wonder if its been leaked that results are to be announced Thursday?

SI is just over 2 miles from Beckton and an easy trip down the North Circ from Redbridge. Would slot in easily with the 135 space as you mention and can pool with existing SEs at the garage.

Is there any issue with lots of buses off the road at RR? Allocations are very very random on the school routes today (More than usual). An LT on the 679, SEN 30 on the 608 and lots of E400s / WVL used on the other school routes.
