SEe21 pictured doing P4 route learning Could this be why the 360 was ordered new buses with those SEEs going to the P4.

SEe21 pictured doing P4 route learning this strange. Wouldn't be better P4 gets electric Considering how many congested areas it runs into it’s certainly a missed opportunity that the P4 isn’t going electric, same with the 28’s de-conversion.

SEe21 pictured doing P4 route learning Very surprising they’re using a 12m bus given the tight corner at Brockley Rise towards Lewisham?

Notably this was when the route had its tender result announced in 2019, since then the 111 which has a similar length has been started up with electric buses and ADL now have a vehicle that can do almost 300 miles. The 358 will happen simply because far too much work has now gone into this, however I think opportunity charging isn't going to be something that London buses need. It might be useful in the provinces but probably not London. I think TfL also just got the short end of the stick and got unlucky with the issues of installing chargers especially at Orpington. Had they tried at bus stations they owned with less constraints the buses would likely be running already. But yes that does seem to be an opportunity if everyone is on the same compatible pantograph technology for op charging. Just install a few at each town’s bus station out in the provinces and it could be viable! The one at Orpington is technically in the bus station, located opposite the station platforms for terminating trains. The Palace one has been connected for ages - I’ve seen a 358 IE actually use the pantograph presumably as part of testing.

Are the EEs still entering service on the 157 tomorrow? Unfortunately not as the chargers are not ready to be used, plus type training for the 157 drivers hasn’t even begun. So could be at least a month before they hit the road.

Is E120 still a bandit on 157 or not as it has blinds until now for some reason.

The majority I have seen have blind issues either with A4 paper or just the number showing E100-128 are fine when they were at SW & Q for Route 345 with little blind issues whenever I see them on any route they look dreadful now at AL. Overall the 157 blind presentation has been shocking under AL. I saw a picture of WVL435 with a printed A4 sheet showing Special service. A few weeks ago a WVL fully blinded for 163 Morden with 157 stuck over the front blind box.

SEe21 pictured doing P4 route learning Very surprising they’re using a 12m bus given the tight corner at Brockley Rise towards Lewisham? That will soon be a no left turn anyways. Soon buses will have to use the Mini Roundabout to turn around. I can imagine they will continue ahead Honor Oak Park, Right Brockley Rise and right Stondon Park although it is quicker to make the immediate right onto Stondon Park the other route is probably safer for the bus.
