The front lower treatment looks crap, just like the initial BYD decker that was running on route 7 I think BYD somehow have the ex-head designer Alfa Romeo, Audi and Lamborghini working for them now yet still manage to release such horrific designs. In fairness it’s a good looking bus when you’re 12 pints in. Absolute shocker of a design.

You can forgive a lot of quality issues if you're effectively getting every 5th bus for free in a market where price means pretty much everything and you're a publicly traded company charged with maximising returns for shareholders. If your bus lasts 8 years instead of 16 (or less as has been the case in Hong Kong and Macau with the mainland Chinese trash that has been introduced) but are only paying 25% less (an estimate), that's not very good in the long run. In 8 years time it will be someone else’s problem. For now it’s all about securing the work. And anyone who’s seen a Yutong product knows that they are of higher quality than anything you can buy in the UK.

Lower deck interior pictures: The lower deck looks pretty good actually. More spacious then the City at the rear.

What would stop the 131? The 333 is receiving 10.9m Ee's so Tooting should be ok. Did the 22 not use 10.7 Geminis before, which would make that route likely to be fine with such vehicles too? Not sure what awkward turns there are on that route anyway, a lot of the route is covered by LTs or 10.9m BYDs (i.e. routes 11, 265, 49, 137). Is it Berkeley Square? 10.6m is the longest vehicle to have gone on the 22 (WHV's) and it wasn't me who said the 22 is an issue.

Perhaps the turn at Green Park Station now which seems to be often obstructed by parked vehicles. I hope everyone here is right in that it won't be sent to the 22 and 88 because that is a horrific downgrade from an E400MMC but the new BYD claims to have an improved turn radius from the ADL-BYD E400 so who knows. With the 88, it all depends on the Parliament Hill Fields terminus as the LT's are unable to properly negotiate it - my hunch is any 10.9m vehicle will fail unless the turning circle is ridiculously good but I could be wrong.

The interior of the bus is actually not that bad, if it was high specced, then it actually will look really good for Go Ahead London buses, it seems like they're also using LED lights similar to the Volvo BZL MCV body, and the wheelchair area seems quite alright too.
Only the bodywork seems to be awful, but perhaps they might look better with the Go Ahead Logo and the 'I am an electric bus' and the stickers and etc.
Wonder what routes will get these.

Ill cry if they go to the 131

They would work well on longer routes with the increased range.

It's name in Italian markets is Brutto or 'Ugly' I love the cheap looking headlights that make it look like a Year 10 Design Technology project. Looks that only it's mother can love

Don’t forget that it’s only a prototype. The prototype RM looked completely different from the production version.

Haven't even yet seen Go Ahead's confirmation of the order, perhaps then the intended routes would be revealed
