Happy to say that MHV1, MHV2 and MHV3 have been refurbished for the 147! Nothing too special like Arriva's refurbishments with LEDs, priority seating or USBs. I think it’s disappointing that it isn’t universally done, gives off a very mixed impression IMO

I think it’s disappointing that it isn’t universally done, gives off a very mixed impression IMO I agree, it also just makes everything nowadays so inconsistent and unorganised in the TfL network. I wonder if it will ever reach a point where TfL have to actually raise a hand and say all buses will be refurbished to their standard, and newer buses must adapt the TfL interior to remain consistent. Don't get me wrong I love the high spec interior on newer buses, but I don't like how different operators also choose to opt to them different. For example, Stagecoach, TUK and Arriva share the same high back seating type, with Metroline and Go Ahead with the same type and RATP to their own, but we also see TUK buses having everything to its highest standards whereas one might argue that Metroline's interior isn't the best with the tacky colours and no wooden flooring. We also saw Stagecoach with powerblinds, but another batch of electroliners having LEDs and a full sized one at the back, with dual IBus screens too. Overall, I think they should set a universal standard to all refurbishments and newer buses, such as making sure all newer buses have the same high back seat type, LEDs, USB charging, wooden flooring, Dual Ibus screens, and air conditioning and heating etc. Whilst refurbishments must have LEDs, and perhaps new Ibus screens. Wooden flooring and USB charging for an older bus might not be needed, but could be done for continued use out of London!

I think it's the original 104 contract which should have both londonbusroutes.net/ shows only diesels That could be a mistake as I believe the 104 and 304 was award as a mixed allocation at tender renewal.

The enhnaced refurbishments being undertaken by Transport UK and Arriva are for very specific vehicles, and are against specific route contracts, so it is not as random as it appears. Transport UK's refurbs are for the vehicles allocated to the 345 contract. I imagine these enhanced refurbs will become more widespread over time. Funny, if TfL had been doing this 2-3 years ago we would all have been up in arms about the waste of money ....

That's why even with the bus blind fiasco, everyone apart from Arriva seems to have gotten blinds for their Sullivan bus routes. Those slipboards won't be great to read when it's dark. The Tottenham HV's are just getting paint with no fancy treatment as the Norwood batch had either. I wished NP would send some on their EHVs and MHVs off for refurb, as they are looking a little tatty. It would be good if TfL set a refurb standard but that would be asking too much

I thought they were for the 344 It definitely says route 345 (South Kensington - Peckham) in the report I read in Buses magazine, although it is possible that could be wrong. Some of the vehicles are having Hanover LED displays installed in advance of receiving their refurbishment and these have been seen on the 344.
