Why would a trial bus be a) used specifically on a Superloop route b) come in a branded livery? It's very clearly for the SL4 as that route needed an order and they need to be prepared for an earliest possible start date. It's not illogical thou that the SL7 would be a good route for a trial due to concerns over its route length. ....plus to better check upon maximum battery range in practice compared to what the BD11 boasts

Seems to still be in China so could be a while before it actually arrives in the UK. I do believe that BYD does have their own RoRo ships but they could be full or booked months in advance. How could you tell it was still in China? All I could see was a sky 😂 I thought BYD made their European buses in Hungary 😳

All I could see was a sky 😂 I thought BYD made their European buses in Hungary 😳 The person in the video is speaking Chinese and they are very clearly Chinese. The safety warnings on the lowloader are also in Chinese.

Well considering the tunnel is not even open I am doubtful they are for the SL4. Being local to the tunnel I am sure it will be communicated to local residents when the opening date is announced. The original person who posted the photo did so to be the quickest but never considered as others pointed out the bus is probably still in China. The tunnel is not even finished yet people think Go Ahead want buses sat around when a set open date has not even been confirmed. The opening could slip for a number of reasons and Go Ahead would probably rather use the buses elsewhere so would be surprised if they do come delivered in Superloop livery. It’s one bus let’s wait and see if anymore are sighted. I await your picking apart of future posts of mine.

Go Ahead have one Superloop route due to start in the next few months with brand new electrics. What else can it be for?

I do think there’s a very good chance of some ADL integral vehicles coming for the 151 and 473. The 151 problem can’t be avoided forever and re the 473, I’m 99.9% the Ee’s would have come with the 262’s if it could take them. I always said even when the 473 was first awarded to GAL that a longer vehicle would struggle around the city airport forecourt My money is still on the 151 going hybrid with the 57 keeping the ones AL took and the 80 taking the remaining allocation from Q. The 80 and 151 could then swap garages leaving A as a fully EV garage on paper. It wouldn’t be the worst thing and unlike a lot of EV contracts now the 151 isn’t massively inflated so the cost difference isn’t huge for the public purse. I delivered some BYD parts to Sutton garage a couple of weeks ago and I got chatting to a mechanic. He claims the 151 is getting electroliners in the new year

Mainland China if I recall correctly drive on the right. In my opinion that is unlikely to have been taken there.

Yes GAL seem to have given Wright a very wide berth since the last batch of WSDs came in, it was reported they were having issues with Wright like several operators, and that’s obviously been enough to deter them from ever going back since. I do winder if we might see the odd batch of Kites* from GAL though, seems a wild suggestion but the method in my madness is that they’ll need to order some single deckers in the interim, between now where the BYD/ADL E200 isn’t available anymore, and when the new ADL E200EV comes in, as it doesn’t look like BYD are doing an integral single decker. - *unless they go for a BZL as a stop-gap vehicle

Hard to make that claim when the video cuts off before it gets to the front of the lorry and it is impossible to tell given how jerky it is and how poorly it is shot. If there is a longer video than the 7 second clip let me know.
