I let 4 S1s go by today as they were all SEs. I then jumped on a 280 and another SE on route S1 turned up behind us.
However, just after boarding my 157 in Carshalton I saw one of the Metrocities on route S1. Ho hum. In practice, I visit areas so rarely that I cannot expect to locate everything I want. Conversely, I was later in the right place to ride an Me on route 200.

The proportion of black vs red has changed... and not for the better imo. Looks even worse! Should've done black surround with the headlights

Additionally, there should be a stripe of red between the front blind and upstairs front window, as that section looks particularly odd.

At other times you strike lucky, and sometimes the opportunity to ride something that has turned up unexpectedly out of the blue is too good to pass up.

The demonstrator looked a lot better with the black surrounds in my opinion. I wonder where that demonstrator is now, and where it could be trialled or if it will ever be trialled. The BZL DD in the Metroline spec never went out on a route, and the Go Ahead one ended up being in service instead.

I've noticed on the latter issue that the new integrated E400EV has the black stripe across above the front display, though that model looks to have a two piece glass front whereas the EBD looks to be all one piece

The Go Ahead BZL decker spent a very short time with RAPT for them to look it over before returning to service on the 213, perhaps an arrangement made more so between the operators rather than by Volvo

It went away from 2-3 weeks before returning to A so was likely organised by Volvo and MCV.

Yes, I see that as inevitable, given that I plan my range of trips to include plenty of variety (in theory) but with few trips. I had been fortunate, noy just with the Me, but also with the GA Volvo B5TL on route 127 last January and the ADH on route 340 on Easter Monday for example.

I'll be doing that when I'm really to catch MVB1 I think it's just yet another profile needed that has deterred me from using it. But it could have come in useful, if for example I missed a northbound OM when I was at the southbound stop on the one-way system in Sutton.

LOTS confirms GAL order for BD11s on routes 101, 321, 333, 473 & SL4. Cue all the past speculation about 101 333 473… interestingly no order for 129 ethier.

So glad that the 333 isn’t contributing to the Ee snoozefest which is overtaking Tooting, but these new vehicles are really ugly
