Even car carriers will take fully loaded containers on the top decks. Some do but increasingly they are purely for vehicles as the port infrastructure to handle container ships is fundamentally different to that for RoRo. There’s a pic of one of the BYD fleet here- www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/details/9955181Not really, they can be separated but large Ro-Ro ports will also have the capability to take container ships. I’ve been in various ports and seen what they are capable of.

That probably explains the 129’s allocation then, that was confirmed to be getting BYDs The 129 has never been confirmed to be getting anything - it was presumed to be getting BYD’s but not confirmed.

Have I got that confused somewhere? I thought when the news of the BYDs came about the 129 will getting them in tandem with the SL4

I thought when the news of the BYDs came about the 129 will getting them in tandem with the SL4 The LOTS announcement that confirmed 75 EBDs included the SL4 and excluded the 129. If you assume the 129 is getting EBDs then that gives you about 100 EBDs total

I thought when the news of the BYDs came about the 129 will getting them in tandem with the SL4 As PGAT mentioned, only SL4 was confirmed within the known 75 strong order. Earlier articles talked about a roughly 100 bus order but only the 75 order was confirmed. Of course, this could be similar to the 213, 265 & 366 situation where it's buses wern't announced officially until they actually arrived. The batch containing EBD86 could be any of 129, 131, 280 or 320 and someone did mention the 320 was apparently receiving some EBD's, although wasn't disclosed whether these were it's own batch or borrowing the 333 batch.

Seems as though the Go Ahead BD11s have two screens that display the stops and etc, rather than just 1 as seen on the Ee's. It has a similar layout to the Electroliner's one, but the screens have a much thicker border so I cannot identify whether it is McKenna or Hanover or whether this is a new model by BYD themselves or Navaro..

iirc EBD11 has been registered as LF74TZM? Providing there are no are weird jumps, that should mean EBD9 is LF74TZK & EBD10 is LF74TZL as EBD8 is confirmed as LF74TZJ

I really hope one of the EBDs goes into service soon. Looking forward to seeing it for real and riding one.
