Thought I’d make this list as the 217 is clearly a route topic people are interested on now Based on in person sightings and videos, 217s known allocation so far: WVL293 (LX59 CZL) WVL294 (LX59 CZM) WVN3 (LK59 FEU) WVN8 (LK59 FEF) WVN35 (BV10 WVH) WVN39 (BV10 WWA) WVN40 (BV10 WWC) WVN41 (BV10 WWD) WVN42 (BV10 WWF) WVN44 (BV10 WWP) Also with WVN17 and WVN23 most likely being reblinded for the route. Nice to see NP getting some of its former First identity back 🫡 WVN39 is on the 131 right now Ahhh. Defintely mistaken it for another WVN then 😅 Apologies

It's rare for me to bother complaining, but why is it that GAL are completely incapable of operating the 265?
All it has been ever they took over is constant curtailments, gaps in service and/or bunching (the 152s stand in New Malden probably sees just as many curtailed 265s as it does 152s in a day!) and they've had the route for well over a year without making any significant improvement.
The bargain basement contract award it was won on is probably part of the problem, but otherwise I really can't understand why they are incapable of operating it whilst being able to run most other routes just fine.

Seeing all those RATP complaints on the forum over the last year or so, I'm curious to see how is the 265 doing under GAL and as you say it would be one of those routes where it probably be better under RATP than under their new operator like GAL with the 265.

It isn't too bad, curtailments are due to delays because of roadworks or the A3 going to sh*t, that slip road from Tolworth into New Malden gets closed quite often, probably was the same under RATP but I've only used it for about half a year. But I agree with the bunching, it's dreadful and it seems like minimal effort is put in by control to maintain a gap

Thought I’d make this list as the 217 is clearly a route topic people are interested on now Based on in person sightings and videos / predictions, 217s known allocation so far: WVL293 (LX59 CZL) WVL294 (LX59 CZM) WVN3 (LK59 FEU) WVN8 (LK59 FEF) WVN35 (BV10 WVH) WVN40 (BV10 WWC) WVN41 (BV10 WWD) WVN42 (BV10 WWF) WVN44 (BV10 WWP) Also with WVN17 and WVN23 most likely being reblinded for the route. Nice to see NP getting some of its former First identity back 🫡 Wait what’s replacing the 131’s WVNs? Is it (on paper knowing AL) the 57’s part hybrid allocation while it has full Ees?

Is there a width restriction on the 291 as I have noticed Hybrids never stray and is strictly Diesel Enviro operated. No other type is able to currently operate the 291 due to other types being too long around Woodlands Estate, Plumstead. WVL and PVL types have strayed onto the 291 in the past, mostly from the former BX school duty allocation on the route. However the issue is the turn from Griffin Road into Brewery Road that failed the official route test on the WVL and navigating Raglan Road at Burrage road end wouldn’t pass a WHV with its longer rear overhang.

I can't see too many more going, with AL needing spare deckers for the 200 and for the 163/164 with the recent unreliability of the SEes.

Just a guess but Hybrids will probably also run on the 217!

But the A3 is not the 265s friend, neither is the double run in Roehampton towards Tolworth which should really be cut to improve the route.

Hopefully that will cease once the 131 has its own EVs.
