Just wondering, when the 51, 244, 624, 625 and 658 move from BX to MG in January, will the 188's move to Q take place at the same time (to free up space)? And if so, will the 355's move to SW also take place at this point?

I assume this was what I saw heading up Pilot Busway about 1pm this afternoon. In fairness, although this is still far from my favourite design, it did not look half as hideous in real life as some of the photos have suggested.

My opinion is definitely changing on them. Seeing some more black on the rear grills and blind box of them has broken up the monotony of all red and the rear layout looks far more spacious and open then the City. Better downstairs layout will definitely be welcome on the W7 on the short hops.

These do look quite cool indeed. Looking forward to seeing and riding these on the 321.

WVN42 I believe is also on the 131 at the moment, but very interesting to see that the 217 is getting some (ex First!) buses from AL. I can't see too many more going, with AL needing spare deckers for the 200 and for the 163/164 with the recent unreliability of the SEes. The 157 is also struggling to keep a full Ee allocation and I have seen plenty of WVLs back on the route I certainly saw one on 28.9.24 whilst riding my Ee on it. In other news, I had to change my work password again. This is because my time limit for the one with 157 had expired. My new password includes something non-bus related, Diwali in fact. I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

Someone posted in the General Discussion thread - rather than here - that further electric buses for BX are due in late 2025. These are for routes 99, 269 & 401.
I wonder what will operate these routes in the meantime? Potentially buses displaced by imminent EBDs.

Everyone seems in the dark if the 188's are heading back to Q or not.. but the 355's are definitely moving to SW in December

Okay okay I think I finally give in, with that ambient lighting that interior looks pretty awesome. The panelling looks much more solid than a flimsy Wright vehicle. I wouldn’t say the two colour choices of ambient lighting (the light green and a sort of lilac colour) go together though. It would have looked awesome if it was the Go-Ahead lighter blue than the green. But the build quality will be big kicker though. I can’t wait to see if it is indeed really well screwed together, or if it’ll be like a Kite. Looks impressive but really the quality is absolutely rubbish. (That’s what 1707 was like anyway, apparently the newer TUK Kites are better so I won’t hold one bad vehicle against the whole type) Other than that I’m afraid I have to admit kicking and screaming that I’m very impressed with it 😂

This interior and the City’s exterior would be amazing

Thought I’d make this list as the 217 is clearly a route topic people are interested on now Based on in person sightings and videos / predictions, 217s known allocation so far: WVL293 (LX59 CZL) WVL294 (LX59 CZM) WVN3 (LK59 FEU) WVN8 (LK59 FEF) WVN35 (BV10 WVH) WVN40 (BV10 WWC) WVN41 (BV10 WWD) WVN42 (BV10 WWF) WVN44 (BV10 WWP) Also with WVN17 and WVN23 most likely being reblinded for the route. Nice to see NP getting some of its former First identity back 🫡 WVN3 still at SI, was on the 473 yesterday. WVN35, WVN42, WVN44 have all been back in service at AL since this post.

I wonder why they didn't fit a middle seat in the lower deck back row to make it five across? There appears to be more than enough width to take one and it wouldn't be blocking any access hatches. The space doesn't have any moldings or protrusions either. It looks like it was almost designed to have a seat there but for some reason was specced without.

Pretty sure it's a safety feature mandated by TfL, you won't find any new buses with them
