Pretty sure it's a safety feature mandated by TfL, you won't find any new buses with them Ahh, perhaps because it is "exposed" to the aisle such that under heavy breaking you could fly out of the seat and down the aisle. Whereas all the other seats are contained spaces so you only go into back of the seat in front of you.

Not too sure if its a glitch or another pending TFL change but all the 5s I’ve been on today have said ‘5 to’ and not announced ‘Canning Town, Bus Station’ which normally happens before a change takes place. The 365 only announced 365 to before it changed from Mard**e Estate to Orchard Village and the same when it done Orchard Village to ‘Beam Park, New Road’
EDIT; Nevermind it seems to be a glitch, it announced Bennett’s Castle Lane as Peckham Cemetry

I wonder why they didn't fit a middle seat in the lower deck back row to make it five across? There appears to be more than enough width to take one and it wouldn't be blocking any access hatches. The space doesn't have any moldings or protrusions either. It looks like it was almost designed to have a seat there but for some reason was specced without. The seats aren’t ideal for 5 people squished up - you won’t find any operators outside of London (who care about pax comfort) having five seats across. Same on the upper deck.

Okay okay I think I finally give in, with that ambient lighting that interior looks pretty awesome. The panelling looks much more solid than a flimsy Wright vehicle. I wouldn’t say the two colour choices of ambient lighting (the light green and a sort of lilac colour) go together though. It would have looked awesome if it was the Go-Ahead lighter blue than the green. But the build quality will be big kicker though. I can’t wait to see if it is indeed really well screwed together, or if it’ll be like a Kite. Looks impressive but really the quality is absolutely rubbish. (That’s what 1707 was like anyway, apparently the newer TUK Kites are better so I won’t hold one bad vehicle against the whole type) Other than that I’m afraid I have to admit kicking and screaming that I’m very impressed with it 😂 I admit after watching the video they don't look that bad anymore. Though I'm still a bit iffy about the rear...

Everyone seems in the dark if the 188's are heading back to Q or not.. but the 355's are definitely moving to SW in December SW is presently full, the routes it's losing still there until at least February

The overall interior's making me think of 432Hz Sleep Music, that being a compliment 🎵

I recon it’s a set colour which works will with the rest of the interior. If it did change colour the expectation would be loud music on board as well.

Another form of exposure involves long legs and short shorts that's in direct line of sight with driver's interior mirrors

The 108 is also set to move to NX once electrification work is complete, so that move might be the one to take place instead, to also free up space.

I suspect it is to indicate when the doors are open, maybe it’ll go red when the doors are closed.
