Funny how the internet completely crashed as it happened, my MSN logged out, Twitter, Facebook and even Google were unuseable for a bit. As others have said it is still a great shame and of course he has produced some fantastic music. Lets just hope my girlfriend can get a refund on her concert tickets now! lol

Huge shock. Got told at about 11 last night as i was starting to settle down. The guy was a musical legend. Really is a sad day for music, even though i would class myself as a rock fan

Micheal Jackson may of had his problems, but no-one can deny how inspirational he was.
I think it shows how great he was as a singer that his songs are so popular and infectious so long after they were made.

This came as a big shock to me last night; weren't expecting it (certainly not now anyway).  I had gone off Michael Jackson by the age of 10, and then of course there was his personal life etc. But when I was 4-5 years old I was a big fan of him - I'd go as far as to say at the time he was one of my idols. Either way regardless of whatever went on with his personal life, there's no denying that he was one of those who helped to define music, and that he's the influence for so many other artists today.
