Good to see the mayor has started off his second term with fiscal prudence on behalf of TfL I will console myself with the fact we only have 3 more years of Khan. I don’t want Hockney, I want money retained and spent on provision of transport services. I wonder how much we’ve paid for that rubbish?

Good to see the mayor has started off his second term with fiscal prudence on behalf of TfL Not to offend David Hockney or any of his fans, but that looks like something a child would do as part of a school competition, not an 83 year old painter. I literally did not know who this David Hockney person was and just assumed it was some kid from some primary school. I would imagine any tourists visiting the station would think the same, or that London's famed roundels have really fell off (just like that "s" ). Not really an arty person, so was not sure if I was missing something, but yeah my initial thoughts were wow that's a mess, but think the same of some exhibits in art galleries - so there must be things I don't get.

I don’t see why he’s mucking about spending money on silly drawings when TFL are skint. It makes no sense.

Mayor has some warped idea that putting a load of copies (not originals) of a bit of artwork, will suddenly get Brits to want to visit London, and fill up the hotels that have vacancies due to lack of foreign visitors To be honest if I was an average Brit in say midlands, planning few days away, would it change my destination from say Devon or Lake District to central London, due to this artwork, very unlikely

Good to see the mayor has started off his second term with fiscal prudence on behalf of TfL bahahaah, really. TfL are doomed if they think some kids artwork is going to entice people to come to London.

#LetsDoLondon has its own budget. The artworks are part of a wider campaign to attract domestic tourism to the capital in the absence of foreign visitors and do not impact on TfL spending.

Even if that is the case, it is still a shameful waste of public financial resources when the increase in the mayoral precept sees council tax bills rise by over 5% ... or does this delight you?

Not a waste of money if it does the job and boosts tourism.... and, unlike some philistines here, I am delighted by the artwork😊

They are entirely juvenile and just screams two minutes on Microsoft Paint. Zero thought, zero effort and probably cost a fortune. I’d appreciate it if it was done as part of a competition for school kids as for a 5 year old it would look good but for a world renowned artist it just looks awful. David Hockney played a blinder if he managed to convince anyone that was good artwork. Honestly my cat could have done a better painting and he would have charged a lot less. What a total waste of money and if I was the sponsor I’d be asking for a refund. I seriously hope the GLA members rinse Kahn for this one, not a great start to a second term.

The person London elected as mayor seems to have enthusiastically appreciated it in his tweet, so he has convinced someone!

The artwork would be more at place in a public toilets.
