How early can drivers run on low frequency routes based on the timetable? Second to last 424 left at least 3 minutes early at Putney Station today, and it just so happened the 14,85 & 430 were screwed

Annoying as I have missed the bus several times despite being on time and then ended up waiting for 15 min. Cuz someone in all wisdom has decreed that the 132 and 335 have to leave at the same time so you miss one you miss both! Am I the only one who finds NOG bus station very annoying? The curved layout implying you can’t see the other stops, cramped layout / narrow lanes / limited bus parking despite being a brand new station built at the time when the area was an empty canvas!

No strike extras are being planned for this weeks tube strike Isn't it late evening and early morning, so should not be needed.

Ironically literally a few minutes after the rant above (was in the jubilee) and the bus left 4 min late. So managed to grab the bus despite me being 2+ min late 🤣

I thought I was the only one who dislikes the layout of NOG bus station. I think it has improved though since the last shuffle of bus stops. Can still be very annoying though when you just need a short hop to the retail parks or parts of the Millennium Village. I stand indoors between stops to try and get a view around the curve, then dash for whatever bus comes first, a strategy that doesn’t always work if there are large crowds following an event at the O2!

Thanks. It's annoying that a low frequency route can leave this early, especially when connecting from another bus

Plus the logic of bus stops is intriguing frankly. The 132 is on its own which is fine (from observations it spends the max time boarding people given its fast nature - at times it has taken 5 min and the crowds can build up rapidly given its the only route heading that way towards eltham and is the fastest for Blackheath / Eltham and thereafter) The 335 is a mystery - it fits the 132 (D) better than B although I recognise the overlap with 108 (and some extent the 422). The 486 is better suited for A given how it heads out

Croydon is to receive 158 smart bus stops starting in March 2022 - www.uktech.news/energy/croydon-smart-bus-shelters-20211125Something I’ve wondered but why does Croydon not use TfL shelters in many locations as well as the flag poles as a number of the flag poles they use where fitted when the street lighting upgrade happened a few years back

Not seen details of this contract, so whether it provides better value for money I don't know. You would hope so, as the council is still in the local authority equivalent of administration, but given past and current performance, my hopes are not that high. When you say TfL bus shelters, you mean the ones the councils pay for? The furniture at bus stops is owned by private companies which councils pay to rent. Yes, I was shocked when I discovered this, when I discovered it was not just some crazy Croydon Council thing. Think they are looking for the advertising revenues to be positive ... be prepared for noisy adverts being played whilst waiting for a bus.

I've noticed that London Buses now appear to be tracking on bustimes.org. I'm assuming this is because the location data from the ETMs inside each bus have been made available to the Bus Open Data Service, so buses are now trackable via two separate feeds (the other being iBus).
