Not really because it wouldn’t be at the operators expense. R12 means updating existing blinds too. No change to the route other than Foots Cray, Tesco but change the route number for no apparent reason. The R11 was introduced to actually replace the R1 between St Paul’s Cray & Queen Mary’s Hospital, and LT / TFL have been numbering replacements routes similar numbers to the original host for many years, so wouldn’t have numbered it R12 at the time and don’t see why they change it now. There’s the 253 & 254 using the same bus type. I wonder how many people get confused which one is which from time to time. I’m sure there are plenty more examples The R3 & R7 were not renumbered. The R3 was withdrawn to Orpington Station without the requirement to replace any blinds at MB and R2 withdrawn to Walnuts Centre and R7 extended to Chislehurst & Chelsfield Village all 3 routes retaining existing numbers. It would have been better numbered R12 from the outset, obviously potential for confusion and people misreading the number. Maybe, but It doesn’t really matter, could always ask if unsure you’ll get an answer. Mostly used by regulars majority know what route is which.

I might be wrong, I'm sure there was a proposal a few years ago to re-number the R11 to R10

The services on the 105 and E5 are ridiculously slow. Particularly the E5 which is constantly regulated.

That’s why I suggested it at the time they were making wholesale changes, issuing leaflets, renumbering R3 as R7 etc, as the incremental cost would have been minimal. Not really because it wouldn’t be at the operators expense. R12 means updating existing blinds too. You listen to any of the passengers between Orpington and Chelsfield. They regularly refer to their section of route being renumbered.

Whether they do or don't refer to it as that, the fact is the R3 was cut back to Orpington Station and the R7 extended to Chelsfield Village which isn't a renumbering.

Do some drivers take out their grumpiness on passengers in non verbal form? On my journey this morning the driver stopped, more often than not, right at the front of the cage, with the door immediately next to the lamp post, so that passengers had to step around the post and the timetable board to embus.

Some drivers enjoy doing that sort of thing. A bit odd but probably not worth getting annoyed about unless it was causing access issues.

What time does the disruption to Kingston start for the cycle event? Does anybody know what routes will be effected and any diversions put in place for it?

Does anybody know what routes will be effected and any diversions put in place for it? tfl.gov.uk/status-updates/major-works-and-events/ridelondon-sunday-29-julyYou have to look up each route individually on the buses realtime page with the date set to 29 July. All this stuff is relatively easy to find on the TfL Website - there is a link to Major Works and Events from the TfL Home page.

Probably had bad experiences with other road users abusing them through the cab window.

Guys I didn't know where to post this but I'll share it here.
I am in the middle of making a list which is called "My Exemption List" meaning the Boris Bus routes that I am exempt from travelling on unless an emergency.
Where can I find a list of all routes that use LTs, it will make it easier to make my list. Thanks guys😊😊😊
