I am sure there has to be a catch here. Arriva apear to be offering you Free Travel if you Bus is Late or Early "Do you provide compensation if a bus fails to turn up and I have to use alternative transportation? Our customer promise states that if a bus is up to 1 minute early or 5 minutes late your next journey will be on us. Traffic, accidents or roadworks can all cause serious delays and we do what we can to minimise the disruption to customers. Trent Barton operate a money-back guarantee policy - if you are not satisfied with the journey in anyway simply tell the driver and (s)he'll give you your money back. I've never seen a passenger demand their money back though. Again, can't see this happen in London. ;D

if first Hampshire &dorset had that Travel for Free if Your Bus is Late thing going all the buses would be free that's know joke we was fined over it

That wont happen in london as london is regualted whereby a central body (TFL) sets the fare structure. Out in the sticks its different as buses are largely de-regulated, therefore fares are set by the operators.

So I can buy an Explorer ticket and claim for a free single ticket on virtually all buses I travel on? when was the last time buses ever ran on time
