John, That bus driver certainly had guts to confront them which i thought was good as not many drivers do this (from what ive seen anyway). If it were me i wouldnt take anything from them i dont mean actually going up to them and punching them but i probably would of done the same as him or id just simply learn to ignore it which i assume a lot of drivers do? Its also good to hear that driver alerted the bus behind as ive seen so many kids who dont have oyster cards and they will try to board the bus if the driver refuses they just get on one behind!! It does annoy me older people get different treatment just like with the incident of the tube where they think they can get away with certain things. well there are to side to every story and we don't know what was going on before the camera started to film maybe be the old man pushed him to far and he snapped a week or so ago i was in a bad mood with a passenger so when i got to my last stop i re ran empty to the the city centre when i was due to change drivers any way

Well the "elderly gentleman" shouldn't have delayed the journeys of thousands of other customers by putting his hand in the door, whilst they were closing. Then the whole detrainment system has to restart again... The CSA should have done it right the first time then. They were having the same problems at Liverpool Street yesterday, and having to butterfly people out. What is so hard about checking the car is empty BEFORE pushing the porter button?

I can certainly understand the LUL worker may have bad day, with idiot passengers making it worse, but I think he went way too far with his anger this time!! And I said in my other post on here, that it was especially bad as he was elderly. I think i was one sided in my arguement there I have a good few examples of elderly passengers being incredibly annoying. For example I was on a 167, and it was very busy. So, I asked an elderly passenger to move his bag off a seat so I could sit there, but he just said 'no, this seat is for my bag' !! : And also, this young person boarded another bus I was on, and his oyster did not work, so the driver got quite rude, and just said something along the lines of "well u ain't gettin on my bus, thanks for wasting my time. what a p*sstake ", or something like that anyway (it sounded ruder when it happend). The point is, he looked like he had free bus travel anyway, and looked quite upset when he was ordered of the bus!

Arr I hate it when people do that; having their bag(s) occupy a whole seat. Especially so on a packed bus OR tube train. Did the bag walk on its little hind legs into the tube station and touch in with its Oyster at the gates? Did it board the bus and slap down £2 on the driver's cash tray for its fare? I think not For example I was on a 167, and it was very busy. So, I asked an elderly passenger to move his bag off a seat so I could sit there, but he just said 'no, this seat is for my bag' !! :

But the Piccadilly line in the early rush hour as well as the buses makes it almost impossible for me to do this.

I worry though as it does occasionally carry my laptop to uni

John i do the same every morning and after school.
If i notice the bus is getting quite full up i will happily move my bag out the way i will also do the same if someone asks me to move it.
No point putting the bag on the floor as usually there aint room or i have my £80 hard drive in it!!

maybe its just me but i would of sat right on the bag and if they attempted to get off before me then refused to get off of it. few times on the 368 i have had a full bus and up the back is some guy lording it over the back row arms out etc stopping anyone getting up there so i refuse to move with standees unless all seats are filled first. I can certainly understand the LUL worker may have bad day, with idiot passengers making it worse, but I think he went way too far with his anger this time!!
