Also, but this isn't confirmed yet and I doubt it's gospel myself but apparently, First Yorkshire are considering taking on some of Arriva London's artics to replace Wright Fusions. I would of thought that they would wait until First London's artics became redundant. I'll try and get more info on this.

If Arriva are successful in winning the contract to run the buses in Malta, they intend sending 60 of their Citaro Artics to the Island.

In actual fact I'd of thought that they'd of stuck with the Wright Fusions given the strong working relationship between First Group and WrightBus. Be interesting to see where this goes.

From what my mate from Yorkshire tells me, the Fusions are in a state and are unreliable so maybe this is why?

I believe a lot to do with the vertical engine layout with the cooling system.

Glad to see that buses that were otherwise not particularly popular in London are finding a renewed service life outside of the capital. With regards to the Fusion buses catching fire - I too would be wanting to get rid of them ;D I think given that First have just retained the 18 with new double deckers we'll see those bendies displace the Wright buses but time will tell.
