Est 320 Hoddesdon Clock Tower and Broxbourne Station Thats quite a few routes! I would have thought they would have kept the council contracts, as they are much more stable than commercial operations - they give something for the company to fall back on. So Ware garage (where these routes operate from) will be losing alot of routes. So does this mean either Harlow or Ware garages will close? as they are quite close together. Also, are you sure its not the council who are stopping the routes, rather than Arriva. Because Herts CC stopped the funding for Sawbridgeworth local routes SW1, 2 & 3 which were operated by Arriva, resulting in the withdrawal of the routes.

I would assume HCC will retender most of them. Most are minor roures some with just a few journeys others have a PVR of 1 or 2 but then most of Wares routes have a low PVR. Possibly they may rebid for the contracts but presumably at a higher cost. If most of those route go it does throw doubt on the future of the Ware garage. The 724 could just be split between Harlow & Watford. The 310/311 could operate out of Harlow or Stevenage. Ware has been losing routes for many years now and struggles to make a profit. Most of the routes in the area are now with Centrebus Closing Ware to cut costs if they do loose all those routes would seem logical particularly as Harlow operates well below capacity it is probably operating at no more then a third of the garages capacity.

Ok the situation is now know.
H1/H3/H4, 308/380 Have gone from Arriva to Centrebus
The 320 & 323 are Discontinued without replacement
Other changes in the HCC area are
200/201/203/205/206/215/312 From UNO to Sullivan
SB8/SB9 (Sundays), also 34 and 620 (both Mon-Sat evenings) from UNO to Arriva.
5 and 354 (both Sats) from Myalls to Centrebus.
391 Herberts to Cozy Coaches
386 (schoolday jnys) Myalls to Olympian.
20 and 386 (the Non-Thurs and the Sat jnys) Richmonds to Myalls.
Basically seems to leave Ware with just the following routes
310/311 Mon Sat Daytime Only, Evening & Sunday Service Centre Bus 724 Shared with Harlow 331 All journeys HCC contract 395/6 Evening service Centre Bus, Sunday service Golden Boy
Does not seem a lot to justify a garage. I guess they could find some land in Ware and downgrade it to an Outstation. They could move all the 724's into Ware but it will push up costs and leave Harlow with even more spare capacity Possibly they may decide to give up the 331 which is an HCC contract there is a lot of dead running with it
Possibly finding a bit of land around Hertford to outstation a few buses. Most of the 310/31 journeys & 724 journies could operate out of Harlow with just 3 or 4 buses bases at Hertford for starting up the 310/111 & 724 in the morning and for the 331
