Streatham wasn't too bad either - felt safer than Woolwich

I shiver quite a bit whenever I go down Brixton Hill after dusk , it seems much darker than London Fields in Hackney. Yeah, know London Fields, got the sh!t kicked out of me coming out from a gig at a youth club there some years ago! It's arguably the worst area in Hackney after Clapton and Stoke Newington. Whenever I go into the borough, I wouldn't loiter anywhere for a single second. Aside from drunks before dawn, 'hardcore yardies' and S-reg DLA's, there is nothing really to worry about. ;D LOL, Yeah you do hear alot of bad things and so about Brixton in the news and such but it didn't seem that bad when I went through there in November-ish. Streatham wasn't too bad either - felt safer than Woolwich S-reg DLAs? ;D ;D Of all areas in this part of London, Streatham is one of my top potential places to move to. But the High Road lets it down slightly, which was branded as the worst street in the country! Speaking of good and bad, I think that Peckham is like a twin of good ol' Tottenham (it's not just the similar postcode). The streets in both of these areas have a rather depressing aura. Walthamstow and Chingford Mount are just as dodgy as each other too!

If you avoid the estates and back roads in Brixton, then your likely not to get too much trouble, unless you jump on DLA63 ;D

I went through there once......and very fast at that!!! ;D

The Fridge is the worse of the two by miles, always stabbings happening their. Even the manager of the nightclub was involved in a serious incident before but thats just Brixton ;D I presume the Academy gets away with trouble because Brixton Police Station is just down the road (at the junction of Stockwell Road/Brixton Road/Gresham Road)
