I was just reading about bus routes connecting with others in the 375 thread and this set me thinking: are there any counties which have a properly co-ordinated and connecting bus network?
East Sussex came close under Stagecoach South Coast Buses operation, and before that the "Heathfield Scheme" from '57 to '71, but are there any truly co-ordinated county networks operating today?
I know Essex doesn't have one!

As you say, Essex dont have many connecting services, they are pretty bad when it comes to this. There are a few connections with their Dengie services (on the Dengie peninsula north of Southend), and some Saffron Walden services connect with trains at Audley End Station. But other than that, they are pretty bad.
Many Western Greyhound services in Cornwall are connecting, but this is mostly due to Western Greyhound being quite dedicated to their customers.
Also, I have visited the Gower Peninsula just outside of Swansea in Wales, and the Gower branded services all connect.
It seems the only places to offer connecting services are those where the councils and operators etc have worked very hard to sort the services out, and areas where there are high amounts of tourists in the summer months.

TfL Route 246 connects with Route 236 at Westerham Green on Monday to Fridays, this was done in 2002 when the 246 was cut back from East Grinstead. The 246 also connects with Route 401 at Westerham Green on Sundays, i suspect this is done cause passengers from Bromley can take the 246 to Westerham and then swap onto a 401 to Tunbridge Wells as the 402 doesnt run on sundays. All routes have passed operators but connections have still been maintained.
