It would appear that Excel passenger logicstics that operate a number of North Essex bus services have been taken over by TGM

Sorry, but Excel have been part of TGM since April 2008.
This is why they are constantly swapping buses with Network Colchester.
So, basically, Excel are a subsidary of TGM, which is a subsidary of Arriva.

Ok, bob, I think I know where you're coming from.
Looking on VOSA, all Burtons Coaches Ltd routes (legal name for Network Colchester) and Excel Passenger Logistics Ltd routes are now to be registered under TGM Group Ltd. Network Colchester and Excel were originally subsidaries of TGM, but now will be completely part of TGM.
