Hi all As some of you might have seen my location has changed to Wheatley, Oxfordshire. This is due to me being at University at Oxford Brookes. I have the luxury of riding Scania E400s everyday which has leather seats . I have found one Scania E400 (cant remember the number at the moment) that overrevs which caught my attention as none of the london ones overrev (not that i know of), but then it also has kickdown enabled so actually sounds great. Does anyone else know of any other overreving Scanias.

I am considering going to Brookes next year for uni, im currently in year 13. Oxford would be great to go to, there buses are great. Also, i'd love to try out the Oxford Tube, I think that might be the most frequent coach route in the UK. But, tbh, I'm not a big fan of the Enviro400, and both Stagecoach and Oxford Bus Company have just been delivered a large batch of new ones. But I haven't tried a Scania Enviro400 yet, so that would be interesting to see.

The Scania Enviro 400 look horrids, even prefer a Euro 5 Volvo Enviro 400 over one (if one was built). The only interesting thing in Oxford is the COMS Tridents which have a unqiue winodw layout on the offside. Wonder what gearbox they have (I'm hoping it's Voith ;D)

On Monday i found out what Scania E400 over revs. Well there's two 208 and 209. Both are in the transition stage where they will sometimes over rev and sometimes wont, so i am suspecting at some point soon both will go to fully over revving. I also had my first ride on the Tridents that OBC run on Brookesbus, compared to Abello's/Firsts Euro 2 ZF tridents they are quite decent machines and will easily hit 50mph down the A40. I have not yet had one driver on the U1 not have his foot to the floor going along the A40.

Abellios will easily hit 50mph as well as they have uprated engines, most likely to be the same BHP rating found in the COMS spec Tridents

The only bad thing about the Tridents is they don't have the radios installed in them. As the E400s have radios installed, we can listen to it while were on the bus, but unless the drivers turn the sound up when were thrashing along the A40 you can hear nothing.
