hi guys can any of you recommended an area of london that's cheap and safe I'm looking for a 1 bed flat thanks

There are lots of options, but cheapest tend to be where travel is less, flats within about half mile of tube stations command a premium.
Where will you be working ? You want to avoid double changes to/from low frequency routes if you are commuting

I concur with snowman if you have a job/are looking at jobs in a specific area then best not to give yourself too far to travel,feel free to drop us a line if you need any specific area info

Roehampton is quite mixed, some areas very safe (and posh), other parts are 1960s estates that could do with a bit of TLC. I haven't heard of much trouble from that area, so I think it should be safe, but like anywhere you could get some undesirables and problems can occur.
It is a long way from any station (Putney is probably nearest) but very close to A3, so might be a slow commute if you are working in different part of London

Definately no to roehampton. Try areas between hanworth in the west and beckenham in the south - areas in between are all generally nice and very well covered for transport into central London.

you'll have no problems at all in ealing. only about 15-20 mins on the tube/NR (paddington) to central london and have never had any problems around here.
