2-1 to The Gunners, still all play to for though. I honestly thought we were going to get trounced so a massive well down to the boys. Yes but we will have the head start in the Second Leg at Nou Camp with 2 home goals..

But we were the better side in the 2nd Half... Until Arshavin came on... ;D All we need is all our best players to be on good form... No more injuries then we will be flying to the trophy...

I think it was proved Tuesday night that there's more than one club in North London!!! Seriously though, although a great win for Arsenal, it was at home. Barca are strong at the Camp Nou (the correct way of calling it ) and if Messi is on fire, you've got no chance. Spurs, on the other hand, got a massive away goal and win. The ghost of Inter was laid to rest and proved that we really can mix it with the big boys!! Either way, the only way to truly find out in this competition is during the match!!

I had enough of people dissing Arsenal today in college, saying we got lucky by Arshavin and that Messi wasn't offside... :@ Lol, At the end of the day Arsenal were the better side in 2nd Half, plus we've beaten one of the best teams in football's history and thats a great achievement, I can't see Tottenham winning against Barcalona.. ;D... But we shall see who the big boys are at "Camp Nou" in the second leg... IMO Wenger should of played two men up front instead of Van Persie on his own..

I didn't see the game myself, but heard that Arsenal were lucky really. This is just what I heard, not my opinion!! lol. However, it will be different in Barcelona and much more difficult. Any fan will tell you that one. The Catalan crowd will be a totally different atmosphere to any Premiership crowd, so will add to the problems. I believe that Arsenal will struggle, just based on performances they've given this season. If it was the Arsenal of old, then I'd say they could do it, but not this season. As for Tottenham, I still don't believe that was us playing!! A fantastic win and managed to handle the idiots of Flamini and Gattuso very well. Hopefully all 4 sides can make it to the quarter-finals and maybe, just maybe, have a North London final at Wembley??

It was pretty even for the first 20mins, then Barcelona dominated the rest of the half. The 2nd half we dominated it and the two goals were outrightly deserved. Our performances this year have been good, better than last in fact. Remember that no one this year didn't expect us to be 2nd, just 4 points behind Man Utd who've played the poorest of the top 4 all season. Go back to the year we got to the final, our defence went ten games without conceading a goal and our team wasn't that strong then. But I will admit, I think we won't make it through. We also have played well in all our matches against the top 5, even the ones we lost and we mananged to beat the King's Road scum this year. I'm hoping Tottenham keep them from that 4th spot. If Spurs and Chelsea were the last teams about, I'd support Spurs every single time and thats from a Gooner ;D I won't say anything against Flamini being a former player of ours, as long as he isn't hurting us, I'm not bothered ;D

Having that on your record sheet will go down in history.. But over the past years Liverpool have beaten Barcalona but this is Arsenal and Barca at their peak of performance..

Didn't see the whole game but saw the highlights. A very enjoyable game but Arsenal will need some luck if they are to beat them in the second leg. I feel that arsenal can do it but I don't know why. Pique won't be playing but they still have puyol and milto.
I was also surprised about the spurs victory. And Bale wasn't even playing! Let see what happens in a fortnight

It's only from Arsenal fans that I've seen the claims that they were the better side in the second half. I thought it was pretty even all told and let's not forget that it really should be 2-2 since Messi was not offside
That said, take nothing away from Arsenal. It was a very special win but I can't help thinking they should enjoy it while they can. Over in Spain it's going to be a massively different story. Even if Arsenal score, I can still see Barcelona getting the three they will need then. I'd love to see Arsenal do it (I support all the English sides in the Champions League since my team will never make the Premier League let alone the Champions League!!) but I just can't see it
As for Spurs; wow! I really enjoyed that one and to a certain extent its probably made the rest of Europe sit up and take notice. A mate of mine is a massive Spurs fan and he never even imagined they would make it out of the group stage let alone be on the verge of the quarter finals! I think Spurs will find the second leg at the Lane easier than they might expect especially if Milan turn up looking to kick their way to the quarters

Well if you did see the highlights & watched the game, Messi was in-active plus the ball rebounded from Szczesny to Pedro then to Messi (Which makes it a pass) which is cleary off-side....

Regardless of whether or not you dominated the second half would you be confident going to Barcelona with them having two away goals? Na course not, not against Barcalona of course... All they gotta do is defend if that was the case... ;D... They wouldn't even have to play Messi, Puyol or Milito... Lol But having one away goal, might test Arsenal's limits... I hope Wenger has something up his sleeve to out class Pep and his 10 men...

Firstly, I watched both the highlights and the actual match, the ball hit Szczesny, then Pedro and fell to Messi who was just onside. You've said Messi was in-active so that would of made him onside as he isnt interferring with play but he was onside whether he was interferring or not.
Secondly, I wasn't talking about anything to do with us having little confidence if they had 2 away goals. You said that it was pretty even and that only Arsenal fans claim it wasn't. Well since I watched both the actual match and the highlights, it was even in the first 20mins, then Barcelona dominated the rest of the 1st half. 2nd half, we more or less dominated. Now if you add that up, I make it that Arsenal were slightly the better side.
