Do we know what route they are going to first? I believe the 3rd July is the contract renewal date for the 65 and 281 which is when these are expected to enter service however could change. I can see the start of a partial and phased conversion of the 65 and 281 (perhaps concentrating on one route), but RATP will have to keep one eye on early September when around 27 will need to be available for the take-up of routes 49 and X140 (PVRs 15 and 10).

The first of the many BCE's on order are starting to be delivered with BCE47030 now awating its delivery to London.
Looking good, must take a ride of the 65 on an SP soon then! Your photo does it a bit more justice... only because you can't see much of the burgundy! ;P Are these going on the X140, thought that route was going to get electric buses. Believe these are to be temp allocated to the X140 along with likely some ADEs or ADHs as the BCEs are late from what I've heard. I would recommend a ride if these are near to you to see what you think. My only dislike about these would be the sort of weird placement of the Charging ports which just look stuck on.

The X140 will receive BCE's eventually, the VHR's are for the 698

I rode them before refurb and whilst a little better than a LT, they are still not great to ride on. No openable windows is a massive own goal not to fitted during this refurb

Surprised that the BCEs might not be ready in time, with still 2 months to go and with some of the FW batch due for delivery soon. Thought that RATP might have chosen to switch some of the batches to prioritise the first 11 BCEs for the X140, as the 65/183/281 can keep their existing SPs for a bit longer if needed.

It seems RATP might be opting for the black light surrounds again, in line with other operators. However, one of the 94's BCEs was seen with black light surrounds like this when testing, but I think was changed to red before entering service.

Does anyone know what the status of FW's electrification is? That could be a good indicator of when the buses will enter service.

It has occurred to me that there can be a lull in deliveries from ADL during July and August due to works holidays, in previous years production has often shut down for two weeks. WrightBus in N Ireland were the same.

Maybe the 183 should be first route to use them then they can start off the X140 from day one and the loaded buses go on the 183 temporarily as they are likely to be blinded already and familiar to the drivers.

VHR45204 has been fully refurbished Maroon and teal is an interesting colour scheme, but not like this. It only really works when the combination is subtle. 🤭 At least its not owned by Metroline so the outside black bits are still there.

When I went passed on Saturday morning there was a temporary fence alongside Wellington Road and the bus stop on the railway bridge side on the entrance was out of use, so I would have thought not finished yet.

Will all new upcoming buses be using LED destination boards because I can barley tell it’s a 50/50 chance since I don’t see blinds on that BCE
