Hi all
On my way back from Dunsfold today on the train from Waterloo East to New Eltham, we stopped between Lee and Mottingham Stations because of people trespassing on the line, it turned out to be a bunch of kids around 10 years old, all of them ran apart from 1 who looked abit scared and worried, when the train driver put his hi-viz on and exited the train to tell them to get off the tracks. The one that was left got a word from the train driver and boarded the train in the can so the driver could take him to the nearest place he could get off the tracks. The driver behaved in an appropriate manner i think by making sure the boys safety was the most priority and getting him off the tracks as soon as possible. There was a few moans from passengers but what would have the driver been thinking if he didn't do something and that boy got hit by a train, he would feel guilty for doing nothing.

Definatly good actions from the driver. Not sure he was allowed to get out of the train like that, but it shows that he cares for the safety of people, rather than the sometimes ridiculous 'elf n safety laws.

Indeed the driver did respond well to the circumstances.
Though it has to be said, someone needs to educate these kids that do think it's funny. A big heavy train is going to make short work of a 10 year old kid......
