Information got from Traveline South East. No surprise after hearing many bad stories about them. Mechanical wise, they were on a par with Metroline, possibly worse as they regularly would borrow buses from the Bromely Presevation Trust as there own fleet is near enough always in a wretched state. Those buses borrowed usually ended up not running either. I believe when L2 was on loan there, something happened with the engine and Griffin refused to pay the presevation trust for repairs and the bus ended up sitting there for ages. Not sure if it's running again or not. So well done to the above operators for picking up their services.

They closed down probably due to the recent fine they got from the tax man which was in the hundreds of thousands i believe

I wonder what will happen to the Bromely Presevation Trust vehicles which are based at Griffins yard. I know 2 of the Griffin vehicles have moved to Go Coach's depot in Otford believed to be used for route 409 on Monday. Hextable -Crockenhill Commuter Route & school route. Yesterday a Griffin Bus double decker was spotted going through central London in the afternoon.

Couldn't see their yard tonight as I was passing thanks to the lack of daylight However, I did notice that a First Pointer Dart was parked up in there a week or so ago. Quite a mix of vehicles too around it. TBH, just from the views from my train to Chatham, I didn't think it looked too great an operation before reading this!!

I wonder what will happen to the Bromely Presevation Trust vehicles which are based at Griffins yard. Well they were only on loan so should return back to the Bromley Presevation Trust. I believe they had L2 & NV116 on loan at Griffin Bus. 'Londonbusboy', any idea on what 2 vehicles went to Go Coach for the 409?

Was on the 233 on friday and was having a laugh with a friend about the griffin vehicles. Saying no matter how bad things get at DT and when driving a 160 DLA that things could be worse... You could be driving that (and pointed to a griffin bus parked up in Swanley an A reg metro i think) Little did we know that they would go bust by the end of the day.

On the last few days of the 407, they were putting out a blue coloured LDV van in service. Surely the only route in the SE of England operated by a van rather than a bus ?
