The Woodford - Epping section on the Central Line will be closed for engineering works this weekend, with replacement bus services operating.
Bus A: Epping - Debden - Loughton - Buckhurst Hill - Woodford
Bus B: Epping - Theydon Bois
Haven't had a rail replacement service up this end for a few years now, so will be interesting to see what vehicles will be used. I think when all the Central Line trains had to be removed for safety reasons back in 2003 I think, we had Titans, Metrobuses, and all sorts of dirty old buses. I have a suspicion that Arriva London will be doing most of the work this time, with maybe a few buses from Ensignbus. I shall be going up and down the line this weekend to see what buses will be about!

If it is double deckers, it means that it will have to go via Snakes Lane East, Chigwell Road, High Road Chigwell and Roding Lane instead of via Hillside Avenue and Albert Road.
As you two most likely know already, it is because of the Central Line Bridge at Roding Valley!!

The rail replacement actually occured last weekend, and the double deckers did go under the Roding Valley railway bridge! I found this very surprising!! By the way, i'm not confusing this with the Central Line bridge along Roding Road in Loughton, which double deckers certainly won't fit under, the only reason the 167 isn't double-deck operated.

Oooo I did not know that... You are correct, I was talking about the Central Line; Roding Valley bridge!
