Britain’s only hovercraft service suspended after part of its propeller falls off A hovercraft which runs the only remaining commercial service in Europe has been indefinitely postponed leaving passengers stranded after a piece of its propeller broke off. Hovertravel's hourly trips from Southsea, Portsmouth, Hants to Ryde and Isle of Wight, was suspended by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency on Friday due to safety fears. A piece of the hovercraft's propeller had broken off last Sunday while nobody was on board and coastguards fear it could lead to disaster. full story www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2063800/Britain-s-hovercraft-service-suspended-propeller-falls-off.html thanks

I do love the comments about being stranded. I mean what would they rather happened? That a defective vessel was allowed to carry passengers with that kind of fault occurring? Honestly….
