Sorry if I have missed Has it been 100% confirmed that this operator will not bid at all for Tfl routes going forward meaning their next route up for tender 299 will certainly be awarded to another operator? It probably is. Sullivans have said that they won't be buying electrics and with the fact that a lot of their fleet are non-compliant, they'll probably be gone when the 217 contract ends which will be a shame (even if they have reliability issues)

Both SL96 and SL97 haven't had their tax renewed and don't have a SORN registered, potential sign of withdrawal
AE30, DEL1, E54 & E55 seem to have been sold.

Given the length of bus used on the 299, 398 & 399, it's likely the W9 has lost two AE's to those routes which are similar length and it likely has taken two AE's from the 298, leaving the 298 allocated the third ex Abellio MMC which has been spare and then possibly a double decker.

Their garage is too far away, so I am not surprised by these events. I used to travel to a depot near their South Mimms garage for work, it can be a pain to reach if both the M25 and A1 play games. Not easy for drivers to reach unless they are local, then face a slog to reach the beginnings of most of their routes. Breaking down far from the garage, somewhere like Turnpike Lane must cost a bit in recovery fees when so far out of town so who will take over the 217?

You would be surprised that rates for breakdown is much cheaper for bus operating companies that has a contract. Hence at times one of the reasons why operators may use them if their own running shift engineers has too much to do

Can see a potential three way with Arriva/Metroline and GAL looking at it

If you look at the schedules and compare them with LVF, lots of there buses do not track at all.

With the 549 being withdrawn this year and its current contract is on a 5 year contract that’s supposed to end in 2027 is the contract ending early?

The 549 has not been confirmed as being withdrawn yet! The route is still out for consultation. I assume the contract will be terminated early and an agreement reached with Sullivans. It won't be a huge loss to them and they have made no secret they want out of TfL work so don't imagine the contract would roll over onto the revised W14 like previous route restructures.
They had issues this week were I think I bus broke down and the service was suspended. Being remote from the route don't help matters.

I believe that Dean confirmed last month on Facebook that the 549 is being withdrawn

I also took it more as they had come to the conclusion it was a done deal and just waiting for official confirmation from TfL.

Sometimes I think the operators know of the results of consultations before its officially released. It was posted on here a few days before about more work being introduced on the 497 which as we know is now going ahead but as the 346.

Even schedules are drafted, route tests are done for some extensions long before consultations even open
