Hey All
Well If some of you have seen some of his videos on YouTube I was wondering if any of the bus drivers of this forum has come across him due to bad maneuvering skills or bad overtaking, etc. There are some moooooore vids on YouTube but I just took out these two.

What an anchor ... the bus was completely out of the bus lane when he over took .... really bad cycling in my eyes ... but typical of most arrogant cyclists in London

Regarding the second clip, if I was the driver of the 38 I would have waited for the cyclists to pass before serving the stop. Thats what I normally do unless the cyclist is really slow. If the cyclist is not in a hurry then why make it difficult for us bus drivers to serve the stop?! Let the bus serve the stop and when the bus moves off you can continue cycling at that casual pace without causing anymore grief for anyone.
Another thing that bothers me about cyclists is that they don't give way when im leaving the stop. I had one incident when I was leaving the stop and noticed a cyclist starting to pedal faster. I was already moving with my indicator showing and I also gave a thumbs up as to say 'let the bus pull out'. The cyclist still kept pedalling and I was forced to slow down so I then gave him a thumbs down. The cyclist went mental, waving his arms furiously to say 'go on' as well as riding in a erratic way in front of my bus, stopping me from going past him completely. I kept my cool and when he eventually calmed down I overtook him anyway ;D

The amount of times I've nearly been run over cyclists along Brixton Hill & outside McDonalds on Brixton Road is far more than cars due to them thinking red means go. I've nearly kicked one off their bike and some have the audacity to have a go at you even though your crossing on the green man and they are cycling through the red light. Outside London, I've never had this experience with cyclists. Personally, I think cyclists should be made to take a test like a driving test and like drivers, should have a license that incurs the same penalties.

Like Steve, I generally allow cyclists to pass a stop before I serve it, provided they aren't dawdling. But there are so many cyclists who are of the impression that they own the road. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the majority of them won't be happy until the speed limit for vehicles is about 5mph, so we are all travelling at the same speed.....
And as for cyclists not giving way.....GRRRRRR!! As responsible road users they should be aware that there are vehicles capable of moving faster than they are. I was coming back from Westerham the other day on a 246 along Main Road. It's not the widest of roads and there was plenty of traffic going the other way. I come across a cyclist and it's simply not possible for me to safely overtake due to the narrowness of the road and the oncoming traffic. A responsible road using cyclist would stop and allow the larger vehicle to go by. Did this guy? Of course bloody not! I crept along behind him for what seemed like ages before there was a suitable gap on the other side of the road. Good job he couldn't hear what my passengers were saying...........
I could go on about cyclists for hours; I truly believe they are the most dangerous people on the roads because they appear to think we should all be watching out for them and allowing them to do stupid things because it's our job to keep an eye out for their safety. It's ridiculous; frankly, I'm amazed there aren't more cyclists killed or seriously injured on London's roads because the majority of them appear to be complete morons.....

Uh Hmm.
Some of them believe it or not I have witness a cyclist who was on a road while having their headphones plugged in. Actually saw this, this evening when I was on the 21 at Old Street. She was kinda wobbling all over the place and she had no helmet on. The only thing she had was them red blinkers on her back and on the wheels. I'll tell they won't do much cop on country roads.
