Unfortunately it's the way things are going within the industry....we have been banned from using, mobile phones AND/OR Kindles whilst in the cab of our busses whilst on the stand WITH the engine switched off..I've even heard that they have now banned us from reading a Newspaper whilst in the cab.
We have also been advised we are not allowed to drink or eat whilst driving, even if stationary at a stop to take a sip of water....as we are not allowed out of the cab with passengers on board what are we to do, ask everyone to leave the bus so we can step out of the cab to have a sip of water?

Made me laugh when I saw a woman today on the 162 using her phone on the stand at Eltham to text, with engine switched off, was going to say to her watch yourself lol Unfortunately it's the way things are going within the industry....we have been banned from using, mobile phones AND/OR Kindles whilst in the cab of our busses whilst on the stand WITH the engine switched off..I've even heard that they have now banned us from reading a Newspaper whilst in the cab.
