Just thought i'd remind people on here that the Epping Ongar Railway will be reopening this Friday (25th May 2012)!
First time in 55 years that passengers can travel on a steam train along this line. Diesel trains will also operate.
A bus service will also operate with heritage buses by the London Bus Company and it will be numbered 339 (number taken from the old London Country route which ran around these parts). It will mostly operate between Epping Station and North Weald Station, but some journeys continue to/from Ongar Station and High Street.
EOR will operate at weekends, but it will also operate on the Queen's Jubilee and during the Olympics.

1,000 metres dosent sound to far but in reality its a whole 1 km. Rather a long way to stop still from Epping.
Are there any plans to make this an actual train service again all day Epping to Ongar?

Well they hope to make it an actual Epping to Ongar service again, but at the moment it seems unlikely.
