Those 2 MMCs are electric aren't they? Yeah, they were charged at Walthamstow and Canning Town I believe They are actually hybrids. Three vehicles were originally part of an "opportunity charging" experiment on route 69, where buses would charge from special plates at Walthamstow and Canning Town. The aim was to run in pure electric mode 80% of the time but a supplementary diesel engine was also fitted. The MMC bodywork was also relatively novel at this time having only started to appear a year previously. Route 69 was chosen as both terminals were within TfL-owned and managed bus stations. The experiment commenced in late 2015 but was overtaken by rapid developments in fully electric vehicles - things moved fast in the 2010s! Route 69 by Julian Walker, on Flickr

I hope that this ambition can transfer to London operations aswell, including the acquisition of more day routes. 299/389/399 coming up would be a big opportunity.

It would be nice to see them have more TfL routes. They run the 383 in particular very nicely and the route branded vehicles are a great touch.

From what I've heard it's set to return, and is currently awaiting a new wheelchair ramp. It's been tracking over the last couple of days, and apparently now has said ramp. It passed its MOT on the 4th, though still shows as untaxed on the DVLA site. It'll be 17 in May this year. Nice one. When I last rode it in 2020, it was a good little runner in good condition. It would be amusing, albeit unlikely, if it stayed through to the contract end in 2029! Crazily it is the same baseline spec vehicle as the 15 plate models, Euro6, electric ramp etc...

Don't remember which exact ones but two more E400s have joined UNO's TfL school fleet. These two are from Metroline's LK60 batch.
